Ok, since this question and argument has come up a couple of times in the animeblogger IRC chat, I decided to find out what the majority thinks. Which color of hair is best for anime girls? This can be which is cuter, or hotter, or most kickass. Pretty simple. You can say why here on this post. The choices are:
Green: I know this is what Impz will vote for, this hair color would include characters such as Asa (Shuffle), and um…..yeah
Blue: This inlcudes purple. This would include characters like Primula (Shuffle) and Mika (Manabi)
Blonde: Pretty simple, blonde hair (which is yellow basically for you less then smart people) Characters such as Shione (Mamoru) and Ana (Ichigo Mashimaro)
Black: Again, pretty simple, charactars such as Lenalee (D. Gray-Man) and Mei (Manabi).
Red: This also includes a more pink’ish color. Characters such as Mai (Mai HiME) and for the pinker side Mamoru’s imouto (Mamoru).
Silver: Includes white. Characters such as Vanilla (Galaxy Angel)

Blue is cool because Rei has blue hair. Blue is cool because Ryomou Shimei has them too! =P
Whatever happened to white or brown? o.o
You forgot silver, it is a major contender for kickass and cool, not to mention mysterious categories

Ok, I changed the poll a little bit. Added White/Silver and made it so some of the options didn’t encompus such a wide shading spectrum.
Damn, I’m having a tough time deciding between pink or purple, though purple would win if just thinking about character designs, though I’ve been liking white more and more lately, but that’s more because they tend to be cool characters.

Oh no question about it: Blue (Shinobu from Love Hina, Ayako from Mamoru)
I like a hint of realism in my girl, so I go for the usual black.
Black is, as they say, beautiful. ^^
What color is Ayu from Kanon or Mikuru from Haruhi? Reddish? I’ll put my vote in that.
I did leave out brown but I couldn’t really think of many characters with brown hair. I’d say Mikuru is a bit more of a red though.

Silver, gives the girl a kick ass look. The cooler and sleeker, the better. Blue could work too, but blonde is just typical. I love it how I m bashing my own color.
