Mamoru meets Ayako up on the mountain top when they are confronted by the young mysterious Beatrice girl.
I found this episode really interesting. Not only was it nice to see a bit of closure on the relationship between Ayako and Mamoru regarding her ignoring him. (Told ya it’d be something like Ayako was just busy making a present) What I really liked however was how much they focused on the fact that the girl thought Ayako had become weak, because of Mamoru. Not only was it a neat test of their relationship, it was an interesting dilemma that they brought up about Ayako changing so much because of Mamoru. I’m not sure that it’s going to be brought up again in that capacity, but I really liked how Ayako said that yes she was weak, but it was worth it and ok, that she’ll just get stronger because Mamoru is worth it basically. Not to mention Mamoru kicked ass and basically gave strength back to Ayako.
It seems like some time in the future, probably much later, even the final arc or whatever of the story, that the brother of the girl that Ayako fought will return. Well, duh. He did say how Ayako is the only women for him and vice versa. However, just because he said that I really want Mamoru to be the one who defeats him. Mamoru has shown some kind of power several times, what EXACTLY it is I’m unsure of still. However it would help the story out so much more if Mamoru was the reason they own against the bastard because of the talk about how he is weak and the other guy is strong.
There seemed to be a whole jealousy thing coming from Mamoru’s sister that showed up a lot in this episode. Which is a bit surprising because there was never any kind of hint that there could be something between them. I think that they might not be blood related, I don’t remember exactly. They said something along those lines I remember, so that’s likely the sake. If they are then that makes this even weirder. However, even with them being non blood related, it still seemed a bit sudden for her to be showing that kind of jealousy. I’m not anti imouto win, I loved Nemu, but this didn’t seem to go over as smoothly. It seems from how much and how obvious they showed it that it will become a bit of an issue later, but not to the point where it would bring any doubt. He’s going to end up with Ayako hands down.
