The first Nerine episode, regarding her struggle to be noticed by Rin.

Impressions:
I thought this was another great episode. I’m not going to go off on another rant about why Memories is just fine the way it is and I don’t see how anyone could have expected it to be something different, because I’ve done that in all my previous posts. Refer to them for reasons why memories is fine and doing what it is supposed to. Anyways, I guess I keep saying this about a lot of the characters but it holds really true, that they are all very enjoyable. Nerine is a great character, as are all of the girls and I enjoyed watching this episode. Although, this episode did seem to have a little less involvement in the relationship aspect to things as some of the other ones. I still hated the whole fan club thing, which they seemed to show quite a bit in this episodes as opposed to the others. I hated the fan clubs in the original series, which is likely one of the reason I don’t like them here, that and they are jut annoying and stupid. It did have some good moments between the two of them though, it just seemed like there were less then some of the other girls got in their first episode thing.
What I’m really looking forward to the most is the second parts to the individual episodes. One thing that I’m still a bit surprised about is these episodes don’t seem to have that much of the dark sides of things. The one thing, or, one of the things about shuffle that made me really enjoy it was even though it was a harem anime it was rather dark in places, showing that in games like these there are often dark and in depth stories for each girl, which they elaborated on really well. They haven’t even showed the most dramatic and tragic parts of the characters stories, except for Kaede’s which is kind of the same as the problem she had in her beginning, kind of. Anyways, Nerine’s ended without even mentioning her clone/twin whatever. I don’t remember her story exactly but it was really interesting. I think the show will pick up even more when it gets to the second part of each girls story, but it’s still doing a great job of showing who these characters really are, there quirks and stuff, with these first episodes.
