Sumire, a girl who works with a small agency that fights demon like creatures called viruses goes out on a job with her partner.

Impressions:

This show, its plot at least, is roughly what I expected. Which, by itself is surprising enough considering some of the recent shows like Kyoshiro where it was just odd. So far it seems pretty standard small group fighting against creatures that will progressively get harder. However already I think that the identities and hidden powers of the two main girls can have a real impact and make this story special. Fighting progressively harder enemies is nothing new to any anime with action in it but Sumire’s ability and Lucia’s eye have the potential to add a lot to the story. Usually in this case you will get only one character with a past or power that is a mystery, but here there are two so I really want to see how those interact. Sumire also mentioned how she isn’t a normal human, that her body will go away or return to what it was so her going crazy power has a base for something even more interesting.

One thing I’m interested in is how much Sumire’s school life will play in this series. In most other series that involve some team of people fighting demons it doesn’t really involve anything else. Fighting demons or whatever is their whole life. However we have already saw that not only does Sumire go to school, but they have shown two characters such as the boy who has a crush on her and his site. I think it will really be interesting, and really set this show apart from the others if they can incorporate her school life into the fighting. Things like showing her struggling to do school because of her work, or being at school when a virus shows up there, things like that. Although it won’t completely be new it will make it more interesting and add a new depth to the show.
