Mamoru is asked to persuade Ayako to join the school play with him for the cultural festival, making the two of them play the prince and princess in Sleeping Beauty.

Impressions:

This episode was another great one. I absolutely love this series and just wish it didn’t have all its past problems with subbers. It seems like the people doing it now are pretty regular about it so hopefully that will continue. They did a wonderful job in this episode with the relationship of Mamoru and Ayako. Despite having several more comedic moments throughout, it still centered on the two of them which was great. The moments between them were really touching and I’m just amazed. I was worried there would be more of a focus on the Beatrice powers of the comedy of a character like Ayako being in a relationship. That’s still there; especially the comedy but they haven’t neglected the characters.

I was a bit surprised and almost disappointed at Ayako passing out at the end. Not that it was a bad part of the episode but I was really looking forward to see the two of them in the situation of a school play, as it always seems to be important in every anime if the main characters star in a play. Plus it would have just been fun to see the kiss scene. I hope it still happens, but it only gives Ayako overnight to rest. Either way I’m sure it will be interesting and fun to watch, just was hoping for a kissing scene or something along those lines.
