After Mariya catches a cold, Mizuho notices she is avoiding her and when he confronts her Mariya eventually tries to get her feelings straight and asks Mizuho out on a date.
Impressions:
Finally! Yes, I was waiting for this moment for so long. Honestly, the show was a tad boring when it didn’t even reference the fact that Mizuho was a guy. It was some pretty typical stuff. However this episode itself was great because it involved the relationship between Mizuho and Mariya, plus Takao finding out that he is a guy. I can’t wait to see what she’ll do. After all she was talking about how her heart was moved, so she has feelings for Mizuho. Now that she knows he is a guy there is a possibility of them ending up together but what’s more interesting will be to see how they get over the initial shock and drama of Takako finding this out.
I’m glad they gave Mariya some closure. My guess is that she isn’t going to end up with Mizuho romantically at all. This episode, although they went on a date and Mizuho basically said he loved her, it seems like it will just be a friend’s thing because of what Mizuho said that they have always kept the distance of a friend. I kind of wanted Mariya to win just because the only other real option is Takako and they didn’t give her as much character advancement as they did for Mariya. Not that I think it will be bad if he ends up with Takako, I hope she ends up with at least someone over an ending where he ends up with no one.
From the preview it looks like Mizuho will tell everyone that he is a guy. It’s probably a move for the best, because keeping a secret like that from everyone wouldn’t be the best. I’m wondering though if she is just going to tell her friends like the girls in her dorm or everyone. I hope it’s just the girls in the dorm because first of all it is much more viable for them to say something like we don’t care; you are you and we still love you and they’ll continue on. However if it’s announced to the school then it would be a stretch to says he could still stay and for everyone to have that kind of mindset.

Well the school does pose a problem, but there still has to be some kind of closure to Takako. She basically has feelings for her but dind’t want them becuase she thought he was a she. After any innital shock and drama there is hope, just non that will be shown publically.
But you’re right, that that kind of relationship wouldn’t be like a normal one but it could still be there a little bit, especially if Mizuho does tell the dorm his secret like it seems in the preview there is hope.
