Machs ends up taking a princess from another country around when she escapes from her butlers watch.

Impressions:
Well, I was expecting to hate this episode. I’ve said before that there seem to be quite a lot of useless episodes in between the really interesting plot. However, even though this episode had nothing to do with Orland (hell he hardly even in it) it was surprising enjoyable. I almost forgot until the end of the episode that I had expected this to be bad. There was a good enough mix of character and touching sub plot. Sept was an awesome character. I wouldn’t mind seeing her again at all. She’s like a feisty loli. The way she was talking about things, not just he whole using people’s weaknesses thing but she was so sly and cute at the same time.
Again, although it wasn’t about Orland I loved the focus being on Machs. He’s seemingly a pretty uninteresting character but I was continually surprised by his actions. When he stood up against those thugs I was just shocked. Way to go Machs, it was really cool seeing that. I suppose overall steering away from the overall plot isn’t too bad as long as they handle it well enough like they did in this episode with enough character advancement with Machs and other interesting characters like Sept.
Honestly, even though it may seem a bit brutal and everything, the whole child pitted against child for who gets to be on the throne was kind of cool. I’m not saying it’s a good way, and it obviously had some tragic effects on Sept but it’s a neat enough idea. They could easily make an arc or series about a premise like that. I thought it was just really cool, they handled it great.
LOL this is now my favourite episode as unlikely as it may seem xD
