Tetsu continues to investigate Karada’s disappearance after receiving the post card from her, so he runs away from home determined to find her by any means necessary.

Impressions:

This episode was amazing. Although a little bit slow, in no way was this boring. One of the most interesting parts definitely had to be the talk that Shouko and Hiro had together. There was amazing character development on Shouko’s part there. The drama of them talking was great by itself too, Shouko yelling at Hiro for not knowing if Karada knew there was no blood relation and saying how she isn’t worried, just lonely. I thought that was great because even in midst of Karada’s problem of being away and missing they still threw in big Shouko development. She hadn’t really shown any feelings before, certainly nothing like admitting she is lonely without Karada. I just wonder what they are going to do with her character after Karada comes back, if she does. There is still the huge romantic relationship problem between Hiro and Shouko that they haven’t touched on, that I really wish they would. That is almost more interesting then Karada. It seems that Karada was just a cause for their problems, so the real problem and situation hasn’t’ been addressed much.

Tetsu is becoming more interesting then I thought he would be. At first he seemed a bit of a nuisance, that he wasn’t as important to the main storyline as the other characters. However he has really shown that he is intricate to the plot. The only reason I think Karada is not going to remain an adult is because of Tetsu. Now, Karada being an adult is one of the two main pinnacles of the entire plot. If Tetsu’s existence is factor that deeply influences that he is a vital character. Not only that, but he is turning out to be really interesting in his own respect. The way he took initiative by himself to try and find out what was going on was really neat I thought. The way he figured out by the postcard that she had been at their house and all the small things like that. I thought that was extremely cool of him to notice.

The ending was so nerve racking! Ok, now for the most part this episode was a little bit slow, as are a lot of the episodes of this series. However this show does a great job of making slow episodes not boring at all. Despite that, the slow parts of this show were great but at the end when Tetsu was taken to the house where Karada was after basically looking for her I nearly lost it. I hadn’t made that connection at all between the teacher and the two people running the bed and breakfast. When they showed the outside of that house I couldn’t believe it. As soon as the episode ended I was just reeling wanting it to continue. Next episode seems to finally be when Tetsu learns the truth, as he damn well better because he is an important character.
