Anime of the Year:
It’s gotta be either Suzumiya Haruhi or Simoun, but sadly Simoun is such an under-rated series which lacks the attention it deserves.

Female of the Year:
Suzumiya Haruhi!!! FTW!

Male of the Year:
Suou Tamaki? He is just a clown to me :P
Kyon?…nah, his personality doesn’t stand out among the others
Aizawa Yuuichi…duh, no comments
Light, he’s smart, he’s cunning, but maybe he is just too evil for my taste :P
So…who’s left? Lelouch!! He has the GEASS! He has the most uniques personality of them all XD

Cutest Character:
Louise

Best Music:
Suzumiya Haruhi (good, but not memorable to me)
Fate Stay Night (the musics in the anime are so boring and repetivite, but the OST is suprisingly awesome)

Most Surprising:
Simoun. At first I didn’t even care to watch a single episode after reading about the setting of the world, but boy I was wrong, completely wrong.

Most Comedic:
Suzumiya Haruhi, hands down.
Ouran High School Host Club is funny, but the jokes are kinda repetitive.
School Rumble Second Semester…the fillers just plain sucks.

Zegapain

Kyon x Haruhi (just can’t imagine what will happen hahah)

Worst Anime of the Year:
Yoake Ma Rori Iro Na ~Crescent Love~…I just watched episode 1 and immediately knew that the anime will sucks big time. Looks like I weren’t wrong XD

Anime of the year: Simoun (More people should REALLY watch this series. Undoubtably best of the year, just far too underrated.)

Female of the year: Suzumiya Haruhi (I’m a part of Haruhiism, naturally…)

Male of the year: Kyon (Out of that list at least… Lulu comes in second though. And I hate Light, not to mention in my eyes isn’t really 2006 worthy with or without the current anime)

Cutest Character: Shouko (Not the cutest to me, but out of that list yes. She looks really really super cute in some frames after all)

Best Music: Mushishi (HAHA, and without a doubt. Simoun was my personal favorite thuogh)

Most Surprising: Simoun (Haruhi also qualifies, but I kind of expected it to be a good series prior to airing, not to mention I felt like Simoun died down until I caught up and realized it’s possibly my favorite series)

Most Comedic: Ouran Koukou Hosutobu ( :D I think Sumomomo Momomo is funnier when it comes to 2006, but on that list Ouran is best. Also need to show I watched that series too…)

Most Complex Story: Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (Yes, if you look at the GAMES. Based on the games, this is my most FAVORITE series ever as well. And I really need to get around to watching Zegapain)

Most Touching: Asatte no Houkou (Tell me how SP made it on that list oO;. It touched me a few times.. KAORI… but, meh. KARADACHAN!)

Best Couple: KyonxHaruhi (Hehe… duh?)

Worst Anime of the Year: Yoake mae yori ruriiro na (Tsuyokiss was enjoyable! So have the first 6 episodes of Lovedoll and Tokimemo that I made myself watch, to an extent. But Soul Link sucked. Yoake gets the award though since I was looking forward to it until episode 2 aired…)

Just my choices. Wow Haruhi got accepted for almost everything, its like that movie that gets nominated at the Oscars and is expected to win like over half of what it’s nominated for.

Most Complex Story: More idiotic and incosistent then complex, but i’ll stay with Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

Most Touching: Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora(as of now, Kanon will top it later on in the series).

Best Couple: Nana x Yano (Bokura ga Ita).

Worst Anime of the Year: Not one of them is the worst of the year I think, disappointing maybe, but not the worst. I’ll go for Soul Link because it was such a let down after Shuffle.

the one or two areas not mentioned are a bit tough for me to choose.

As for soem of the other mentions, I really dind’t have that big of a say in what got nominated. NANA was only nominated by one person, ever other entry that made it had at least two, I even had to pick between a three way tie for the fith spot and those had three votes each.

Rin wasn’t nominated once for best female lead. Again, I didn’t really pick most of these guys. This is kind of a readers/viewers choice as far as the nominees go. There may be a couple in each category that aren’t the best, but they probably won’t win so its not that bad of a think.

I agree that Tokimeki isn’t the worst anime, I’m not going to vote for it, but there was a three way tie for the last entry so I just picked Tokimeki. The otheres weren’t that great of options either, none of them outragiously sucked.

lol negima!? is so not funny. it should be nominated for most retarded remake of the year.
