An old teacher acquaintance of Kazuki’s comes back and causes Yuuji to think that he is Kazuki’s unforgettable person from her past, as he heard she had one from his classmates.

Impressions:

Wow, I loved this episode. I thought it was great because of how much it involved the actual plot and centered on everyone’s feelings. They had been ignoring everyone’s feelings really for the rest of the series, only touching on the same concept of Kazuki struggling with whether she likes the new Yuuji like she id with the old. However they used that way too much. It’s ok for an underline concept but they made it the entire focus for too long that it just got repetitive. Finally here we see so me kind of change to that. I loved how Yuuji hearing of “Kazuki’s unforgettable person” made him really think about his feelings and hers. The bit where Kazuki thought Yuuji knew about her liking him was great, because it really brought up the underline struggle in a new way.

I’m still interested in how much more the teacher is going to come into play for the plot. I knew from the beginning he would have to come in, because of the brief appearance in the OP, yet he completely surprised me in a good way of what kind of character he is. Usually when some older person suddenly comes back he is, as Yuuji originally though, basically a source for the main lead to be jealous. I thought that Kazuki would have something for him and it would be clichéd, but that’s not what happened at all. I loved how they took his role and made it interesting instead of just another stupid clichéd role. He didn’t really serve as a point of jealousy very much mainly because Kazuki didn’t have feelings for him. Any jealously that came was ok, but not the sole point of his appearance in the episode.

The next episode is a beach episode, which gives me kind of mixed feelings. It’s not terrible for there to be a beach episode or anything; in fact it’s kind of enjoyable and means that it will mostly be comedy and hot girls wearing very little. However it also means there isn’t room for much plot advancement, which is a real shame because they showed some great advancement in this episode. If they would just continue with what they have instead of abandoning it, it would turn out much better.
