Karada runs away form home after finding out that because of her, Hiro gave up his relationship with Shouko.

Impressions:

I loved the flashback scene. It went on for pretty long and even though they have already told the story of what happened in the past, I found it incredibly touching to watch. They did show a bit more, such as Karada knowing her parents weren’t her real parents. The flashback really seemed to focus on what exactly her relationship was with Hiro, that she always wondered if she was really a sister and so on. I thought it was done wonderfully and really shows the relationship and tragedy of their past.

Although Karada running away is really drama filled and Hiro and Shouko both don’t want her to go, I can definitely see Karada’s point of view, which I think makes her character and actions interesting to watch. After all, we already know that Karada knows her parents and Hiro aren’t blood related, so she now found out that basically her non blood related brother gave up a very, seemingly, love filled relationship to take care of her. He sacrificed greatly for her. Although seemingly he did it because he really cares about Karada, it doesn’t change the fact that he did indeed give up a lot for her and she doesn’t want that.

One smaller thing, what the hell is that key that Shouko was holding? At the end of the episode, Shouko was there by herself going though some things. She holds onto some necklace/key thing and they focus on it for a bit so it is seemingly important. Its likely Shouko’s because I think she was going though her stuff, because that’s where Karada found the picture and such. Could it be some thing that Hiro gave her or something? Either way I’m interested to see where it comes into play again, because it seems odd for them to show that if it’s not going to come in later.
