Yuuichi deals with Makoto and her continual efforts against him, while he spends time her they run into a cat and Makoto seems to have a strange view on animals that leads to her running away.

Impressions:
I loved that they showed Akiko’s special jam thing again. Poor Makoto :D Although I’m not so sure how many more people they can use this joke on, maybe Ayu but that’s about it. It wasn’t anything that big either but the fact they brought it back at a later episode was really cool.
This episode, and seemingly the next one are completely Makoto focused. Even though they included Shiori, Mai, Ayu, and Nayuki the parts they filled didn’t really add anything at all. The whole cat thing is really important. Won’t spoil it here but already in its episode it was basically a metaphor for her feeling for the cat’s situation. About how she doesn’t think she belongs anywhere, just like the cat. Although it does serve an even bigger character development point, will talk about that in the spoilers.
I’m still wondering how Mai knows so much about Makoto. I mean, I saw the old series and this part still surprises me because there was nothing like Mai knowing that much. Also Amano, the girl they briefly saw seems to be important (hint, hint)
Summary:
WOOT! They showed Amano. She is one of the most important side characters (meaning not Ayu, Mai, Makoto…son on) because first off she tells Yuuichi about Makoto being a fox, but also she appears later when she disappears, spending time on the hill talking to Makoto near the end of the older series. She is basically who tells Yuuichi everything pertaining to Makoto, because she has an important story.
As I said before, the cat scene is likely the most important scene in the series that explains Makoto’s situation. She said how wild animals shouldn’t be taken in, because then they will get accustomed to the comfortable life, and when abandoned will be worse off. That is so important because that is exactly what happened to her. Yuuichi took her, the fox, in and then when he left Makoto got abandoned.
I was definitely surprised at the foreshadowing they put into this episode showing that Makoto is a fox. I’m a bit surprised at anyone who hasn’t seen the original not getting at least some inclining, although I suppose I can’t easily judge that as I’m picking up on the foreshadowing more. First off Yuuichi said to Makoto, “You’re brain’s on the same level as an animal’s” and then when Yuuichi was carrying Makoto back they showed a fox.
wasnt this an adult game or something in japan?
