Hiro tries to get used to life living with grown-up Karada while Shouko stays with them and starts resembling moments from her childhood.

Impressions:
I think it was really interesting how much character advancement they gave Shouko. This seemed to be centered on her a lot and I loved the whole part with her reliving things from her childhood. The way the kids said the same thing now as they did in the past was really cool. That scene really gave a feeling of how Shouko was basically reliving her childhood, but she made changes. Instead of not playing she did play, and is experiencing all the things she missed out on.
Speaking of Shouko there was some more advancement of hers that I found really interesting. When she was with Hiro and he said something along the lines of being happy that she was with him. When he said that she like was just beaming and smiling until Hiro said that he basically meant because it’s awkward with grown up Karada. I think this really shows that Shouko has feelings for Hiro still.
Tetsu has me really intrigued so far. Although as of yet he hasn’t been that important of a character, he definitely seems like he will become very vital later on. His relationship with Karada and his feelings for her definitely make things more complicated, and may be some motivation for some more character development, and likely some actual plot decisions based on this.
It seems that what’s being conveyed here is that Shouko is literally starting over. I’d sure like to see some epilogue at the end of the series, fifteen years later, and see how Shouko turns out.
Tetsu next episode! Starting over is something interesting, I believe it is doing a favor, allowing Karada and Shouko to make amends of their previous lives, a healing of sorts.
“fI’d sure like to see some epilogue at the end of the series, fifteen years later, and see how Shouko turns out.”
Eh? come on! Do you seriously expect Shouko to remain being a child?? That’s not only really disturbing but also totally wrong. And what about Karada? she has yet to live her childhood. Is it alright for her to jump over her childhood like that? Shouko herself should be a good example of how people who don’t live their chilhood as fulest will regret it when they become adults.
The only good end would be for them to learn to cherish their real selfs and revert the process.
