Haseo discovers another Epitaph User, Endrance, who is an arena emperor and uses his avatar in a battle. Haseo swears to Endrance taht he will defeat him, and works to raise his rank in the Arena while trying to awaken his Avatar.

Summary:

• Haseo goes to the server that just came up back from repairs, so he heads over there to find out that it is basically a place for arena battles. Silabus tells him how today there is a match in one of the arenas against he emperor of the arena because he is defending his title.
• Haseo watches the fight to find out the emperor who is defending his title is the guy he saw before, Endrance. We see off somewhere Sakubo, seemingly controlled by Saku, fawning over him. Haseo watches the fight and eventually, Endrance appears to attack and he starts glowing and Haseo sees an Avatar appear from Endrance, a cat like one, Macha, which no one else sees. Macha easily destroys the challengers in one blow, and Haseo is shocked. He says how that’s not a fight at all, and heads off.
• Haseo thinks to himself how Endrance is an epitaph user, but was together with AIDA. He wonders if G.U. knows that Endrance is an epitaph user. While thinking outside he sees Ovan walking and chases after him. He catches him and asks him to explain himself, because of him a lot has happened. Ovan just says to Haseo how it seems he wasn’t able to defeat Tri Edge.
• Ovan asks if Haseo saw Endrances’s fight. Haseo says yeah, and asks who he is. Ovan says he is chasing an insatiable dream. He says Endrance is like Haseo, except he has something Haseo lacks. Haseo asks what that means and Ovan just says Haseo knows better then anyone. He says that he will always be waiting for Haseo, and then just says he will see him again and teleports away.
• Just then Sakubo, controlled by Saku, comes up and asks Haseo what the hell he is doing there. Haseo thinks its Bo but remembers that Bo said he had a sister and says that she must be her. Saku asks why he is starting at her, if he is a freak. She asks he is after master En. She says she won’t allow it. She then goes off on her own little world saying how they are in love and will be together forever.
• Just then black AIDA stuff appears at the nearby wall and a portal opens up and Endrance appears. Haseo stands in front of him and asks him who and what the hell he is, why was he with AIDA at the Lost Grounds and how did he use an Avatar. Endrance seems surprised he was able to see it, but says how he did nothing more so he has no real “power” he says how he doesn’t have the right heart, and seeing her doesn’t change the fact he is just someone in the crowd. Endrance says how he will be able to do nothing, and will rot away, that he is pitiful. Haseo gets pissed off saying how he can’t talk to him, and that he will defeat him.
• Silabus says how in order to beat Endrance how would have to win some arena fights, to do that he will need a cleric. The only one Haseo knows is Atoli who doesn’t seem like the Arena go’er. Initially he goes out on another small adventure with just Atoli since their last one was interrupted. Along the way Atoli keeps saying how beautiful things are, the flowers the birds, she talks of lore and how they are in the game which is real while they are playing. She even stops him from attacking an NPC animal because it may get hurt. Eventually Haseo tries to get around to asking her about the arena and she says how she doesn’t like competitive stuff. She likes the beautiful things in the world like the flowers and things like that. Eventually she says how people should slow down and enjoy things. This triggering the memory of Shino and that he can’t slow down Haseo can’t take it anymore and asks if she is stupid or something? It’s just a computer game; the graphics are data how they can be beautiful, the only thing that’s real is the players, getting stronger is how they are connected. He tells Atoli to leave and never show her face and she runs off.
• Haseo still needs to find a cleric so Silabus posts something on the message boards. After a while there is a response to meet a cleric who is interested in a dungeon. Haseo goes alone to find Bordeaux and gang waiting for him. She says how she is here on business this time, that someone hired her to kill Haseo so she posted that on the boards. Just then Sakai and another Lunar Tree member appears and when threatened by Bordeaux they say how she can’t PK them because of how much trouble she will get in with her guild master and opposing guild and so on. He then says how she can’t kill Haseo as he is a friend of Atoli, a member. Bordeaux reluctantly agrees but says she will get him in the arena.
• Bordeaux and Sakai leave, leaving Atoli and Haseo to talk. Atoli apologizes for earlier and trying to force her beliefs onto Haseo. She then agrees to participate in the arena battle. Haseo heads to the arena and wins the first match; although Atoli is extremely nervous at first at the win she becomes ecstatic. Atoli says how she hasn’t felt anything like this and Haseo says that just winning.
• While raising though the ranks at the arena, there is a post on the rumors message board that says how this person is calling themselves leader of Project G.U. and is telling Tri Edge to go to Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. Haseo wonders what this is about, if Yata has lost his mind or something. However upon investigation it is just someone named Piros the 3^rd who is trying to find Tri Edge, because he is a graphics designer and is mad at the scars left on his graphics.
• After making it into the top ranking in the arena, Saku says how he finally managed to reach the rankings, whoever people are suffering because of him. Haseo gets an email and heads to the guild shop to find out from Gaspard that PKers from Kestrel are threatening to PK anyone who does business with them. Kuhn who is there since he has a past with them says how he will talk with Kestrel’s guild master and Haseo goes with him.
• They head over to Kestrel’s guild home which is an area and we find out from Bordeaux that Kuhn used to be Kestrel’s assistant guild master, but left because of differences in opinion on how guild should be managed. Kuhn demands they stop bullying Canard but Bordeaux says she knows nothing about it.
• Gabi, the guild master of kestrel, appears and Haseo tells him to take reasonability and stop eh PKers in the guild. But we find out that Gabi doesn’t care about PKers and PKKers, that its fine either way. We then find out that Haseo’s first match is against Bordeaux’s team in the arena, and she just says to settle their differences in the arena. Bordeaux promises Gabi she will win, and we find out that if people in Kestrel break their promise with Gabi they are kicked out of the guild.
• Back at Canard home, Haseo tells them how it will be resolved in the tournament but Gaspard cries like a baby about how the world isn’t fun any more and Haseo realizes how he has been forcing Silabus and Gaspard, and they only play the game for fun and he is talking that away. Haseo heads out and Kuhn talks to him. He says that he should withdraw from the tournament because G.U. will be a participating in the tournament to go after Endrance since he isn’t replying to them, and he is an epitaph user. Haseo says he won’t withdraw however.
• Eventually Haseo enters the tournament with just Atoli, and against Bordeaux’s team he appears t be loosing. However he says how this can’t be the end, he wont be able to protect anyone, not Gaspard, Silabus Atoli, or Shino. All of a sudden Haseo finds himself in a black plane and three red dots appear and a voice yells I have found you. Skeith appears behind him and Haseo says to come to him. He sees the monitor and yells come on, then sees a picture of Ovan to the monitor. He yells his name and all of a sudden Haseo glows and awakens, as symbols appear around him and he turns into Skeith.
• Bo is watching and says to himself for Haseo not to do this, it’s not right, apparently seeing the avatar. Kuhn yells from the crowd for Haseo to stop right now. Haseo attacks even though Atoli appears yelling at him not too. However the attack apparently goes though and he defeats them all as the crowd goes wild. We see Ovan off somewhere saying Welcome to the world, as he said in his email something he would say to Haseo once more if he chooses to continue his fight.
• Haseo is ecstatic about getting his avatar and after the battle he asks Kuhn how that was, all happy but Kuhn yells at him how much of an idiot he is. He says how incredibly dangerous it is to use an avatar against a human player. He says it doesn’t matter what they’ve done in the world, one wrong move and he could have put them in a coma. Kuhn says how Avatars deviate from normal rules, they shouldn’t sue them unless against things like AIDA or the World will fall into chaos. Haseo says its too bad he isn’t a good little boy like Kuhn. He will use whatever powers he has to their full extent.

Impressions:

Oh god, it was so hilarious when Atoli was rambling on and when she asked if she should stop and if she was being annoying Haseo thought to himself, “Hell yeah” but didn’t say anything cause he needed her help. I just paused the game and laughed so hard at that part. All along I was thinking how ridiculous she was acting about all the beauty of things. Although what she said really fits her character, I just loved Haseo saying hell yeah to himself.

There was a question raised by Atoli that I’m really wondering about now. She said how her name came from that of a bird, and when she asked Haseo about it he got really quiet. It didn’t seem like he didn’t want to tell her just because she was pushy, but almost like there was something behind the name that was really personal, so it makes me really interested in what it means and why he picked it.

Saku hiring Bordeaux to kill Haseo was really surprising. I definitely didn’t expect that, and think it really adds to showing Saku’s character extremely well. Although it really didn’t work I thought it was kind of cool of her, showed that someone had some real initiative and shoed how gutsy Saku is. It was definitely an awesome part.

Gabi is definitely a very interesting character. I thought it was really weird and funny how he is supposed to be this really strong and mysterious important person, yet when he was announcing at the arena he just yelled out “it’s a great day for a picnic” It was just so random and seemingly out of character for him.

They showed that Sakubo was an epitaph user when Haseo summoned his Avatar! I think it was really cool and a bit subtle. Although it seems like no one else know sit, maybe Yata, but from what they showed its just us the viewer who saw that he was an epitaph user. Although everyone basically knew that before this game, they showed it here and it was really neat. Probably just because I like Sakubo’s character so much also though.

Wow, I was surprised with Kuhn He really spoke out against Haseo, and I for the most part agree with him. It doesn’t matter what the hell Bordeaux did in the game, no matter how mean she was in game. No one deserves to be put in a coma because of it (Ever since KGNE I’ve never viewed comas the same way :D) Although Haseo kind of had a point that he should use his power how he wants, I definitely agree with Kuhn how he shouldn’t use it against normal players if it can easily put them in a coma.
