Allen faces off against the Akuma who has the power to copy his arm, while Kanda deals with the Ghost of Mateel and trying to find a way to get away with the Innocence.

Impressions:Â
This episode was pretty good, although it didn’t really advance the plot at all; the entire episode mainly consisted of fighting and then a bit of a mystery at the end about the Ghost of Mateel and what they are going to do. The fight scenes however, although they filled this episode up, weren’t that fantastic. They weren’t anything special, as all we really saw was the Akuma looking for everyone, and a couple of swipes with their claws and so forth. Hopefully the final showdown against this guy which will hopefully be in the next episode is a bit more interesting.
I did find the Ghost of Mateel thing interesting though. I had kind of guessed that it wasn’t actually the weird faced thing, and that the girl was special because it seemed a bit odd for her to just be there because the supposed ghost/doll took her in. I just wonder what they are going to do with her though, it seems as if there wont be a need to kill her for he innocence if they kill the Akuma so will she end up living at the headquarters? Either that or she could be killed by the Akuma but the exorcists get the Innocence. Either way it’s fairly interesting I think as the doll has a personality so I don’t think killing it for the Innocence would be as justified as if it was lifeless.
They hinted a bit at Kanda’s past in this episode. He said how he can’t die, not until he finds that guy. Although I don’t think we’re going to get any information anytime soon about what exactly that meant, its defiantly the hint towards a Kanda arc later on where we get his back-story and his motivation for everything.
