Mamoru transfers to a new school where he encounters a mysterious girl, Ayako, who asks him out and he is suddenly thrown into a huge ordeal because of it, as she has never shown any feelings to anyone else.
Impressions:
This was a very charming and I guess I can describe it as sweet, episode to this show. Although there are some more supernatural focus, I just loved the bits with Ayako and being all embarrassed. Her character was so fun to watch and it was really charming and sweet, just fun to watch, as she did things to try and get Mamoru to like her, such as driving around in the car for hours to find him to give him a ride. Ayako herself is incredibly good looking and her personality is quite interesting, especially given she has powers to utilize her personality, but I just loved her moe moments of embarrassment. Overall this episode was great, the romance and comedy between Ayako and Mamoru was just very amusing to watch and I think will lead to some rather sweet moments.
I was very much surprised and a bit intrigued at how much supernatural stuff there was in this series. Albeit I didn’t know too much about this series from the start, I hadn’t guessed that there was going to be anything about magic or the kind of supernatural stuff, but it does seem like it will be interesting, making things more then just the school romance/comedy between Ayako and Mamoru. The Astral Fire thing is interesting, as it supposedly gives powers to people and perhaps Mamoru will end up using it or it will just be something they defend. However another supernatural aspect had me more intrigued. The student president said that the attacker’s targets were, “Objects containing your (Ayako’s) memories. It’s because of the Astral Fire” Now, that could just meant hat since Ayako built the Astral Fire that is the connection to it and what he meant by memories. That or she somehow lost her memories or something like that. I’m really not sure, it could just be shaky translating but it’s probably just referring to the fact Ayako helped make the Astral Fire.
