Bokura ga Ita - 14

Yano tries to figure out where Take and nana went off to, not giving up on his and Nana’s relationship as things get awkward between Nana and Take as they aren’t sure what is between them.

Summary:

  • Take ends up taking Nana along with Mizu with the dogs down to the riverbed. Mizu plays with the dog and Nana and Take just sit there next to each other with an awkward silence. Meanwhile, Yano has Take’s brother/sister (I’m still confused about that) to try and find out where they are but to no use.
  • Mizu purposely plays with the dog by herself to try and give Nana and Take some alone time, however things seem to be a bit awkward between them as they don’t say much. Yano in the meantime runs off to look for them.
  • Eventually with nothing happening, they all head to the buss stop where Take and Nana run into Yano. When nana gets on the bus Yano says to her how he hasn’t given up. He doesn’t think they are broken up and will do whatever it takes.
  • Take and Yano walk home together, Yano saying how he will kill Take if he lays a finger on nana and Take stand sup saying he doesn’t care basically.
  • During school, in preparation for whatever event Yano is extremely dedicated in working hard and doing things for Nana, as Nan is really unsure of what to do, she eventually send shim off to work somewhere else. Yano and Take eventually meet up and they end up eavesdropping on Mizu and Nana talking, Nana eventually saying how she doesn’t think take has feelings for her because he isn’t the kind of person who would do that considering she is his best friends ex, and she isn’t sure about Yano that she needs more time.
  • Yano just says to Take in a friendly way he won’t give up, and won’t loose to him and Take just smiles and Yano heads off.

Impressions:

I thought this episode was interesting, although overall a bit confusing in figuring out what exactly was going to happen regarding Take. I mean, it seemed from the conversation Take overheard that that was pretty much it, that he really didn’t have much hope of anything with Nana because she didn’t view him that way, and one of the things she liked about his character was that he wouldn’t do something such as fall in love with her. Hell, Yano even kind of smiled and patted him on the back after hearing that just because it kind of took away any hope of Take and nana. However at the end there he seemed to be fine, and there was a bit how Yano wouldn’t loose to him, so I’m a bit unsure of that.

I thought it was really cool of Take when he kind of stood up for himself. When Yano said how he would kill take if he touched a finger on him, Take didn’t back off or anything he just basically said fine, I don’t care. It showed that he wouldn’t just back down which made his character actually have a spine which you don’t always see in characters in his position.

I also thought it was a tad surprising and interesting how Yano said that he didn’t accept the break up. That to him, they aren’t separated. It showed that Yano was committed to getting this back the way they were, so right now it is really all up to Nana.

LOL Takeuchi never hear of bros over hoes :P

Seriously though I think Takeuchi should go after what he wants and Yano needs to back off and wait for Nana to think stuff through. I do believe Yano and Nana belong together but Yano needs to learn how to be a man and Nana needs time to mature too.
