Bokura ga Ita - 13

Yano and Nana are both dealing with the recent break up, while Take sees all this and deals with his own feelings and wonders what he should do.

Summary:

  • Nana returns some of the things she has borrowed from Yano, and we see that everyone knows about their break up and Nana’s friends ask her about it and what really happened, Nana apologizing saying she cant say anything though.
  • After school, Take talks with nana and asks her if she wants to see something cool. He brings her over to his house and shows her two puppies that someone left on his doorstep. The two of them talk for a bit, spending time and nana laughing, according to Take the first time in a while.
  • The next day after school, someone invites Yano to a singles party thing in a restraint. He goes eventually and after telling everyone of his recent break up, one of the girls there sees that he still has a picture of nana set as his cell phone’s background, and she erases it much to Yano’s horror as he tries to stop her. Yano heads to the bathroom and calls Take asking if he has the picture still but his fried comes in and Yano hangs up, his friend apologizing saying how he is fine with him leaving.
  • Yano heads over to Take’s late at night and asks him about the picture, and Take tells him he doesn’t have the picture anymore. Take asks Yano what he would do if he went out with nana. He says how love is all about timing, if Yano doesn’t do anything soon then he will regret it.
  • The next day, before school, Nana asks Take if she can come over to see the puppies and Take says he is busy, letting Yano have his chance however after school when Yano doesn’t do anything, when Take and Yano are getting on the bus Take says he is sorry but he gave Yano a chance. The bus door closes and Take runs off and up to Nana.

Impressions:

I’m a bit unsure of Take’s motivation for everything. On one hand it seems like he defiantly has feelings for Nana, but on the other it was almost as if he was just doing all that stuff to motivate Yano into doing something. Right now I think that that is what will end up happening, that Take making his move will motivate Yano into doing something and nana will end up with him, but at the same time I don’t think that is what Take had planned, because it defiantly seemed as if he has feelings for her even if he isn’t able to actually go anywhere with them because of Nana and Yano’s relationship.

That aside, I loved Take’s part in this episode. I’ve been saying since the beginning that they are developing Take’s character into an interesting one and it would be a waste not to give me a bit more focus, so I’m glad they did. Although I really doubt anything will concretely happen between him and nana, he still kind of gives me the feeling of wanting to root for him. I also thought the whole bit with take and Dead-Nana was interesting, as I got the impression that he had feelings for her to. There seemed to be a whole thing, as Take said to himself how he won’t let it happen again, that he had feelings for Dead-nana but did nothing about them and doesn’t want the same thing to happen to Nana.

I think that we defiantly saw that both Yano and nana still have feelings for each other, so I think it is still very easily possible that they will get back together, as they dot really have to deal with whether they still love each other or what not, its more a case of getting over Yano using Nana as a substitute for Dead-Nana or not. However I’m interested to see how much more of a part they are going to give to Yuri, as right now they seem to be focused on Nana and Yano with take being the other factor.

Take-kun seems like a really sound character, and his roll is definitely a good one. Worst case scenariou is he turns bad, but I doubt that will happen. In the end, Yano and Nana could learn something from each other and if they don’t make it Take would be a superb long-long term guy for Nana, just don’t know what that will do to the story/plot.
Do you feel kind of sorry for Yuri? I do. :( Yano is so cold to her, I mean she was an easy catch, but she really like/loves(ed) him. Still, its not very clear about ‘all’ the details of what happened and when/why. Seriously the most mysterious part of the story thus far.
    cheers

I defiantly feel sorry for Yuri, in fact there was one scene a couple episodes ago that made me really feel incredibly sorry forher, in fact I think I mentioned how I hadn’t felt that bad for a character in a long time. She defiantly seems to just have been used and thrown away which is rather cruel thing to do so I hope that after they deal with the Take thing right now, they will touch up a bit more on Yuri’s character.

    Take! Take!

He’s the type of guy I’d like to be with but Yano is the type I’d probably fall for…hehe
