Yuuichi spends the day with Ayu after getting movie tickets from Akiko. While out with Ayu, he finds out Ayu’s true feelings and about his past as they spend time together.

Summary:

• We see a flashback of Yuuichi with Ayu as kids, Yuuichi giving Ayu a doll and saying it can grant three wishes.
• Yuuichi wake sup and heads downstairs. Akiko says how she has two tickets to a movie and gives them to Yuuichi. Nayuki is at some school thing so Yuuichi has to find someone to go with. As Yuuichi is out in town, he runs into Ayu so he goes to the movie with her.
• After the movie the two of them talk and play a bit, teasing each other. They then get to a bench and Ayu says that this is the bench that they promised to meet at a long time ago. Ayu says some things about how she ahs been waiting all along for Yuuichi to come. She says thank you, and then suddenly kisses him.
• As Ayu kisses Yuuichi, Nayuki who got back from her school thing sees this and is in shock, running home.
• After school Yuuichi and Ayu spend the day together, having fun. Eventually in the evening they are standing with each other and Ayu says some things about being scared how everything will be taken from her, that she will loose Yuuichi. Yuuichi holds Ayu saying he will always be with her, and that he loves her. Ayu says she loves him too.
• Yuuichi takes Ayu home and Akiko says she can stay for dinner and overnight. Nayuki is home and doesn’t’ want to face Yuuichi so heads up to her room. After dinner, Yuuichi and Ayu talk with each other and they say how tomorrow they sill spend all day with each other.
• The two of them then head to Ayu’s school but when they get there they just find a clearing in a forest with a stump. Ayu freaks out saying she knows her school was here and opens her backpack to see her textbooks but nothing is in her backpack.
• Ayu says how she needs to find it and starts digging. She then says how she can’t be here; she is a human who can’t be here. Yuuichi asks what she is talking about and she says she remembered the events from seven years ago. Ayu walks away from Yuuichi and says how she doesn’t think they can meet again. She then disappears and Yuuichi yells no, and screams her name wondering what is going on.

Impressions:

There was a HUGE progression in the relationship between Yuuichi and Ayu, which I thought it was the main thing. They hadn’t come anywhere close to this kind of advancement of a relationship at all throughout the whole series. While there was the whole mystery of what Ayu was talking about regarding the past and all the main thing that really hit hard I think was just everything between Ayu and Yuuichi, the kiss, and them both saying they love each other.

The relationship thing between Ayu and Yuuichi also had a huge impact on Nayuki. We saw that she obviously has feelings for Yuuichi, although that was a little apparent before the kiss she saw defiantly must have completely devastated her, as we saw her getting all freaked out abut this they made it more obvious of her feelings and brought what she thought into play.

Spoilers:

We finally get the big mystery of Ayu in this. She actually disappeared after her small freak-out of remembering that she died/went into a comma before. Although they haven’t actually said that in the series, she did say that she remembered what happened seven years ago before she disappeared. Her realizing everything kind of brought her out of that dream they were talking about, realizing the school isn’t really a school, it was just a fake school Yuuichi and her made as kids so they could be together.

We saw again how Akiko kind of knows something is up, very likely remembering what happened to Ayu even though she seems fine with having a ghost or something around. We also however got a small inclination of Nayuki knowing something as she said she seems to remember Ayu from before but not sure from where, which would fit because she is their age she must have met Ayu if Yuichi spent so much time with her.
