After school one day Yuuichi runs into Ayu again who has again stolen some taiyaki. While he is with her, they run into a girl named Shiori who seems to know Yuuichi.

Summary:

• Yuuichi wake sup in the morning to find that Nayuki is a heavy sleeper, with dozens of alarm clocks that don’t seem to be doing the job in waking her. Eventually he heads off with her to school and he finds himself in the same class as Nayuki.
• Yuuichi gets a seat next to Nayuki and a girl behind them introduces herself as Misaki Kaori, and talks a bit about how close the tow of them seem.
• Yuuichi is heading home after school by himself when he runs into Ayu who has once again gotten away with some taiyaki. He runs with her and eventually finds himself lost wither. We fid out that Ayu does indeed know Yuuichi from the past, as she tells him they met before. Ayu charges him, trying to hug him and he side steps out of the way, causing Ayu to run into a tree, knocking a bunch of snow down.
• The snow got onto a girl who was in the area. They help her up and she says how Yuuichi’s uniform is from the same school as her sister.
• We see another flashback to when Ayu and Yuuichi were kids, this time it’s the next day after their meeting and they eat taiyaki again. They talk and Yuuichi says how Ayu is cuter when she is smiling. Ayu eventually tells Yuuichi how her mom has gone away and she is all alone.
• The next day at school, the guy behind Yuuichi points out to him how there is a girl outside who has been there for a couple hours. He looks to see that it’s the girl from before. He excuses himself form class and goes outside to talk with her. We find out she is a student there but rarely goes to school because she has a poor health condition. She says she was here to meet someone and when Yuuichi asks who she just says that it’s a secret.
• The girl heads off saying her business here is done and Yuuichi asks her name, she says it’s Misaki Shiori. Yuuichi heads inside and asks Kaori, who’s family name is also Misaki if she ahs any sisters. Kaori seems shocked, and gets angry saying she doesn’t and heads off.
• Yuuichi heads home and on the way someone in a box is following him. He looks at it wondering who it is and the person says they have some grudge against them. The girl jumps out of the box and we see a girl with long blond/orange hair standing before him, seemingly pretty mad at him

Impressions:

We got a fairly big mystery here to what exactly the relationship is between Shiori and Kaori. We saw that they both had the same name, and Shiori even said that she had a sister that went to Yuuichi’s school but Kaori said she didn’t have a sister. Although the way she said it seemed like there is a little more to it all then them just having no relation.

It seems that Shiori has met Yuuichi before too, especially because her eyes kind of widened when she heard his name. Not only that, but she went to his school and said that she came there to meet someone. Although it seemed Yuuichi thought she came there to meet Kaori, she said her business was done after talking with Yuuichi so it was probably him that she came for.

Two things that don’t quite make sense (well they do, but read about it in spoilers) are first off why the taiyaki shop owner keeps giving Ayu the taiyaki. If she has stolen it from him, and gotten away with it, why would he trust her with it again to give him the money? I mean, he would at least wait to be paid back for the other times before giving it to her to run off with. The other thing is if that headband Ayu has really was given to her by Yuuichi, as it seemed from her blushing and saying a special person gave it to her, then why does Yuuichi have one also?

Spoilers:

Regarding the comment above about why Yuuichi has a head band and Ayu has the same one, it’s most likely the same reason that the store owner giving her taiyaki even when she has an “outstanding debt” you could say there is because she isn’t real. I mean, normally the shop owner wouldn’t give her it when she has already stolen and hasn’t paid him back, but they don’t’ really question that at all but it’s because of her being like a ghost. Same reason there are two headbands.

When they showed Shiori picking up her stuff there was indeed a box cutter there (omg, she’s Kaede!) which shows that she was planning suicide like they say later on when they do her small arc. When she dove to pick up her stuff she grabbed that first so Ayu didn’t see it.

As for relations to the promo, I’m surprised. So far in this episode there were a lot of instances that were exactly the same as they showed in the promo so I think that will be interesting. Some lines that are exactly the same such as the “You kept your promise, you came back didn’t you?” and also Ayu running into the tree.
