Yuuichi goes out to find Makoto after she goes missing, and later at school plans with Sayuri a way to make Mai more popular and thought less of as a delinquent.

Summary:

• Yuuichi goes out looking for Makoto. Eventually he sees her and follows her. She goes though some woods to a field where the cat from earlier is. She talks with the cat, hugging it and falling asleep saying how they are both the same, both alone and no where to go.
• Yuuichi carries Makoto back to the house, along with the cat. Makoto wake sup the next day wondering why she is here. She finds that her cat is there and Yuuichi just acts like there is nothing going on, Makoto asking if she can stay here and he and Akiko say of course she can.
• At school, Yuuichi heads out of class for a while where he runs into Shiori. They go inside and talk with each other a bit, and Shiori tells Yuuichi the name of her sister, Kaori. Class starts so Shiori leaves and when Kaori gets back he asks her again about Shiori being her sister and she seems to get mad saying she doesn’t have any sister.
• At lunch, Yuuichi eats with Sayuri and Mai. They talk a bit and Yuuichi says how Mai should try to smile more and be more sociable, then people would stop thinking of her as a delinquent. They mention the ball that is taking place in school and Yuuichi says how Mai should attend. Sayuri says she can get dresses for the two of them, and a tuxedo for Yuuichi. Although Yuuichi wasn’t planning on going as well, he agrees.
• At home, after naming Makoto’s new cat, Ayu shows up because Akiko ran into her while shopping. Ayu stays for dinner and says how she will spend the night with them. Before going to bed she talks with Yuuichi a bit, about how they knew each other in the pas, Ayu saying how she likes Yuuichi then gets embarrassed.
• The next morning, before going to school they find that Akiko has a cold. Yuuichi tells her to rest and Ayu says she can nurse her to health. Yuuichi heads off to school where Nayuki already is, while Ayu stays home nursing Akiko and making her lunch until she is all better.

Impressions:

The whole Shiori’s sister thing came up again but they didn’t really go anywhere with it, just showing again how there is a mystery behind why Kaori won’t acknowledge Shiori as her sister. I mean, for now it’s fairly obvious that Kaori is indeed Shiori’s sister but Kaori still says how she doesn’t have one, and seems to get rather mad when it is mentioned so there is something there.

There was also a slight involvement concerning the relationship between Ayu and Yuuichi in this episode. How Ayu talked about Yuuichi and when they were kids, and then saying out loud how she liked Yuuichi. I thought it was hilarious how she was just fantasizing and saying that out loud, then getting really embarrassed. Although partly comedy there it does show that Ayu likely still does have feelings for Yuuichi and that there will be more advancement there.

I thought that Mai’s whole part was pretty funny. How Yuuichi kept talking about a project to improve her and was talking about Mai with Sayuri like she wasn’t even there. Mai just bonked both of them on the heads even though they kept talking about her like she wasn’t a person.

Yet another clue piles up to the mystery behind Ayu in this episode, although a little less focused on then the other ones we’ve seen. The whole Ayu calling home and not being able to reach anyone was another hint at her condition. Although there was also the small things like the fact she didn’t’ need to go to school the day when she nursed Akiko. Although that could be dismissed as just a plot hole if it happened in any other anime, no one would make a big deal about it, but it can be gotte4n away with even more knowing that Ayu isn’t really there, kind of. (It’s really hard to describe her condition, like in Zegapain or something)

Also, although they didn’t focus much on Makoto in this episode as much as they kind of led on by the big cliffhanger of where she went from last episode, there was still a really big clue to who she was. They mentioned for the first time in this episode that Yuuichi had a pet. They showed a blurry picture of him holding a fox and they left it as kind of a mystery. Although what they have showed so far doesn’t really connect the whole pet thing with Makoto, it did make the subject about him having a pet a bit more mysterious
