I totally understand this post. I'm a few days late, but hey, things are ended and this is Fall 2006 start week right? Anyway, I really understand where you are coming from, not from watching shows on a weekly basis but really taking my time with shows (usually). There are a ton of viewers out there who will marathon a half-year show in a day, and I just don't understand it. Especially with deep shows, watching them quickly doesn't always bring justice. One of my favs that ended in the past weeks was Ouran, which doesn't necessarily need reflection upon each episode, but having characters in mind and wondering whats going to happen next ep, just builds that connection you speak of.

Well, cheers to the new season! I'll be looking to check out the ones mentioned above and:
Hataraki Man
Sumomomo Momomo ~lol
Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto (yea copy&pasted that one)
and the much hyped Kanon ^^

I agree.
Oh another thing for me was that since a bunch of shows this season were only 12 eps it seemed like short shows are harder to connect with or the characters just don't get developed enough... atleast in some of them.

I'm not saying its easier or harder at all. In fact, I'm praising the episode a week shows because of the connection it makes with me and as you said the excitment, its just that I get too connected and feel bad about them ending.

I don't know but my attention span is like tiny... I usually have less trouble when I watch stuff thats being aired because then I can like see a bit every week. Like, right now I am trying to watch a bunch of older stuff I haven't seen yet and I am having a hard time watching to the end before moving on to the beginning of another series. Not to mention even though I am so behind I still have soo many shows I can't wait to watch in the summer season... omg...*drools O_O

So anyways the point is that I think its easier to watch a bunch of shows weekly than all at once, (and its more exciting to wait in anticipation for the next ep).
