Marller tries another plan to take down the goddesses by sending small ninja’s she has created after them.

Summary:

• We see Marller in her lab plotting against the goddesses. She talks about how ninja’s are the greatest warriors, so she prepares to make some to send at the goddesses.
• One of the ninjas goes out and spies on everyone for a while, making note of how un-progressed Keiichi and Belldandy’s relationship is. Eventually she has a plan and the next morning when Keiichi wakes up he finds the ninja in bed with him pretending like they slept together. The ninja uses some starring technique to try and get Keiichi to advance on her so she can have Belldandy see them; however Keiichi notices the ninja’s tail and soon Belldandy walks in.
• Belldandy believes Keiichi in a minute that they didn’t sleep together or anything, much to the ninja, Kodama’s, surprise. Keiichi then guesses that Marller sent her and she tries to kill herself and him as part of the ninja code since she has been found out, but Belldandy stops her forbidding her to kill herself.
• Kodama then just spends some time with Belldandy, trying to live a normal life so Marller sends another ninja out, Hikari. Hikari and Kodama eventually see each other and Hikari tires to eliminate Kodama, but isn’t able to. Then the two of them live together for a while before Marller sends a third one out.
• The third ninja uses a spell to summon thousands of small ninjas, everyone tries to fight them off and Belldandy rushes to Keiichi’s room to see him covered in Ninjas, being suffocated. In an explosion of power she eliminates them; however the power burst was HUGE and even broke one of her seals.
• The three ninjas decide that they can all live a normal life and send a letter to Marller saying they quit, while Belldandy receives a letter from Heaven saying her Goddess License has been suspended.

Impressions:

This episode seemed a bit off track then the normal episodes. Lately we’ve been seeing a lot of dealing with just the goddess and Marller, but in this episode even though the ninja’s were there and sent by Marller, there wasn’t as much of a focus on the goddess as there was on the actual ninja’s themselves. The whole episode almost seemed like its focus was to get to the point of Belldandy being suspended. I will be extremely surprised if that isn’t the big focus of the next episode, as so far they have carried over things from the last episode and it seems a little odd to have her be suspended if they aren’t going to have a big focus on it later.

I really liked all of Kodama’s observations she was making while watching everyone in secret. I though it was hilarious how she said that their relationship was below that of an elementary school relationship, which in a way is true because they have hardly progressed at all, if any really. I also thought it was funny just seeing how clueless Belldandy is, although nothing new I laughed at the part where Kodama and Hikari first saw each other again and tried to kill each other, and Belldandy was just like, “Maybe they weren’t friends…”
