Oh, I didn't seriously expect a Saito/Siesta happy-happy love-love ending either, but a man can hope. A Saito/Louise continuously-argumentative state of conflict is the less satisfactory (for me), more obvious (for making sequels and such) option, and the one that should have been assumed by the end of the first opening credits.

Although like I've posted I think that Saito will end up staying in the current world, I don't think he will be "trapped" there as you have said. I think that it will be more like a choice on his part because he wants to stay with Louise.

As for Siesta, I never thought for once that there was a slight chance of Saito ending up with her. I rather like Louise's character. I"m not saying she is more attractive or anything like that, but I do find that lately she has shown good character development. I hope for Saiot and Louise to end up togheter, although it will likly be soem thing wwhre they are togheter but things are a little bit the same with them fighting all the time.

Defiantly? Sorry, the nitpicker in me just couldn't let it slide...

I'm somewhat concerned that Saito is going to make the stereotypical "save the kingdom but trap himself forever" heroic gesture. I'm also concerned that rather than hooking up with Siesta, he'll leave himself permanently attached to Louise, who I just cannot bring myself to think of as a sympathetic character. Considering that Saito is, for me, one of the most appealing male leads in a recent harem/adventure comedy (or however you would like to describe this genre, and by "appealing" I mean that I don't want to strangle him every time he's on screen), I fear that things are gearing up for a highly unsatisfactory, somewhat predictable end.

I know I shouldn't expect too much from a series that lays out the character cliches as brazenly as Zero no Tsukaima does, but I've really enjoyed this series so far and would hate to be let down at the last minute.
