Nana deals with the news of Yano and Yuri’s past and tries to figure out where exactly the relationship between her and Yano has is going.

Summary:

• Nana is still in shock from hearing that Yano had sex with Yuri. She hasn’t talked to Yano in a long time even though Yano tried to call her. Yano eventually goes over to nana’s house to see her but tells her mom to tell Yano she is sleeping. Yano gives her mom a huge bouquet of flowers for Nana and heads off. After giving them to Nana, Nana thinks to herself about all Yano has done, getting these flowers and such so she runs out of the house to try and catch Yano.
• Yano and Nana meet up and Nana just yells that she loves him. They and they hold hands. The next day, Nana is telling Take how she might not have been able to forgive him, but seeing his face she had not other choice, she just wants to make him happy so she will do all she can. However Take tells her that if their relationship is nothing but mental agony and anguish, they should break up.
• After school Nana and Yano go the beach together. They have a good time, getting along and being happy. Eventually however a bug crawls on Nanas hand and she gets up and screams, Yano just laughing. However it this him then that it’s the same reaction Dead-Nana had and he just stands there in disbelief.
• The mood gets serious and Nana asks Yano what he is really feeling, about Dead-Nana. She tells him to let it all out, there has to be something he would tell her if she was here, that he hates her or something and she asks him to tell her what he would say to her.
• Yano thinks back on everything in his past, remembering all about Dead- Nana. He tears up saying how could he hate her when he loved her so much. This stuns Nana and she remembers back to all the times Yano told her he loved her, and thinks of how he was lying. She then says she can’t do this anymore, and breaks up with Yano.
• After school the next day Yano is waiting by the door when Yuri walks by. He tells her how Nana dumped him and Yuri sys how she is surprised, asking if he wants her to comfort him again. Yano just smirks saying he isn’t falling for that again, and heads off.

Impressions:

This episode defiantly surprised the hell out of me. I did not think at all that the two of them broke up. In fact, in the beginning of the episode it seemed almost the complete opposite of that. In the beginning there seemed to be this whole forgiveness thin on Nana’s part, remembering Yano say how if he could change his past he could, and then Nana being fine with it. Then at the beach things made a 160 degree turn, which was surprising.

One thing that really seemed to click in this episode is the whole idea of Nana just being another Dead-Nana for Yano. He only “fell in love”, at least at first, with her because she reminded him of Dead-Nana. They even showed that at the beach when the two of them reacted to the bug the same way.

The other surprising thing wasn’t just the whole them breaking up, it was the feelings that Yano showed in this episode. He cried twice, which is more surprising given they stated before he has only ever cried once before. Yano forgiving Dead-Nana was just shocking. All this time he has said stuff about how could he still love her, and she hates her, things like that, but we saw his real feelings that he couldn’t possibly hate her because of how much he loved her, just told himself he hated her to not be crushed by sadness. That I think was a great display of his feelings.

Again, we keep seeing small bits of Take’s involvement. He is way too featured of a side character to be left a side character. I will be extremely disappointed in this show if Take does not have a big part later on, just because of how much of a side character he is but how much role they give to him.
