Nagisa and Tamao furiously practice for Etoile, as Nagisa seems to be having trouble with the dance part which is a crucial step. All the while Hikari follows Amane around, hoping that she will regain her memories.

Summary:

• We see Tamao and Nagisa practicing dancing. Shizuma is coaching them but Nagisa still seems to be doing bad, Shizuma trying to help her but she still is struggling.
• Hikari is wandering around the horse field, looking for Amane. She can’t find her anywhere so she runs off looking for her, running further away from the school. Yaya tells Tomori how Hikari hasn’t returned to the dorms yet, and neither has Amane so they go out looking for her. We see Hikari in the woods and she finds her yellow scarf that she gave Amane. Amane had said how she remembers this scarf is important but doesn’t remember who gave it to her.
• All of a sudden Amane appears thinking Hikari, saying she was looking for that scarf. They go back to the stable and Amane says how she is going to stay out here because she has to take care of her horse early the next morning. Hikari says she will stay with her though the night. The two of them sit next to each other and Hikari starts to sing. Her singing brings back Amane’s memories, as she remembers meeting her and then everything about her.
• Amane says to Hikari how she has remembered and Hikari is overjoyed, the two of them passionately kiss and we see the next morning they had sex. They ride off in the morning back to school, where Yaya, Tomori and Kenjou were waiting for them. They are happy she is back and Kenjou heads back running into Momori. She says how she was able to put Amane’s issues to rest, so she can focus on herself, looking at Momori asking if she can start over with her. The hug and head inside.
• We see Tamao and Nagisa practicing advancing again, Nagisa still not quite able to cut it. Shizuma says she will dance with her, and holds out her hand. The two of them dance and they dance beautifully, amazing everyone. Shizuma says how a dance is a reflection of ones feelings, that you have to make it your own. They finish the dance and Shizuma tells Nagisa to remember that feeling, as she will have to use her own confidence from now on. Nagisa and Tamao announce the next morning to the whole school their participation in the Etoile election.

Impressions:

Holy Yuri Sex Batman! Ok, now I had guessed and I thought it was pretty obvious that Hikari and Amane would get back together, Amane regaining her memories and all. I also kind of expected it in this episode, as next episode should be the last one and I would think they would resolve that issue so they could focus on the whole Etoile thing, but I did not expect the instant Amane remembered Hikari that they would have sex. That was just, very surprising.

The whole relationship between Tamao and Nagisa and Shizuma has me really thinking. I mean, they kept talking about how it was an end for Shizuma, and honestly I hope Nagisa and Shizuma don’t end up together. I hope they conclude it well and all, and have a nice ending, but I don’t want Nagisa and Shizuma together. I mean, first off Shizuma is going away, they would be hardly any time for a romance realistically. Also, I feel a little bit sorry for Tamao. She has always been there for Nagisa, and has done so much for her always helping her out and caring for her.

I did feel some hope for something between Nagisa and Tamao the way Shizuma said how dance was like conveying love’s feelings. She said this to Tamao and Tamao seemed to get some hidden message from it and didn’t seem mad so that could be a good thing. My best guess is that there wont’ be anything concretely romantic between Nagisa and Tamao, and Shizuma will get on with her life. In the preview they had the whole bit they said a couple of episodes back where they tied a ribbon around themselves saying how they will be together. I really think that Tamao and Nagisa will end up with a better more fulfilled life, and Shizuma will get on with hers, leaving Nagisa and Tamao.

As for the actual Etoile election, I’m still partly unsure. First off Etoile is supposed to be all about the relationship of the two people. That makes Amane and Hikari a more perfect match for it. However Nagisa is much more of a main character and her story ties in with Shizuma which is the one they have focus on the most. Plus as someone pointed out before, Hikari and Amane don’t’ need the position of Etoile to prove their love. They seem perfectly fine how they are. For Shizuma and Kaori it was kind of a last hurray for Kaori, that doesn’t apply as much to Hikari and Amane. Although, it doesn’t apply to Tamao and Nagisa, they still have something more they get out of it then Mane and Hikari. I think that if they are elected we will end with a thing of how the two o0f them are closer then ever as Etoile, becoming friends and a possibility of relationship, leaving Shizuma to get on with her life, learning from Nagisa and the experience that she can get over Kaori.

One small thing I found that was pretty interesting was Tomori’s past. They showed a shot that implied that Tomori was running for Etoile but was beaten by Shizuma and Kaori. That’s why she talked about pressing her dream onto Amane, and since she wants Amane to become Etoile that would fit.
