Sunao is accidentally brought along on a student council survival night on an abandoned island and tries to make herself useful to show Erika that she can do something, while she is forced to spend more time with Leo.

Summary:

• Sunao wakes up from another dream to find her self wrapped up and surrounded by the student council. The president tells her how this is the student council survival training, and so since she was asleep he brought her here. She says how she isn’t in the student council. The president thought she was and just says it’s too late now, so Sunao is stuck on the abandoned island with the rest of the student council.
• Sunao tries to be helpful but Erika assigns jobs for people and then relaxes herself, saying to Sunao she can just do nothing, as she is useless anyways. Sunao storms off, trying to find something she can do to show Erika that she isn’t useless.
• She goes though the forest looking for some food while everyone else is busily working. Eventually it comes time to eat and Nagomi and one other guy have prepared food for everyone. Sunao is still out looking, saying how she won’t eat unless she helps make it. Leo notices she is gone and goes looking for her.
• Leo finds her and tires to get her to come back but she just runs away saying she doesn’t want to be near him. Leo chases after them and the two of them run off a cliff, falling into the water below. They swim and rest on a small rock out in the water.
• When Sunao realizes she is alone with Leo, she gets mad and Leo is about to swim to shore when Sunao points out all the sharks around them so the two of them are stuck together on the small rock until help arrives.
• Eventually everyone notices that Leo and Sunao are missing so they go to look for them. They look but can’t find them, as the water level keeps rising making the area Sunao and Leo have to stay on smaller and smaller.
• After being forced tot talk with each other, eventually they are found and the principal and Otome rescue the two of them, fighting off the sharks and clearing a path from the water for them.
• As Sunao lies passed out, everyone asks if he did anything. Leo says of course not, even though they are childhood friends she seems to hate him. They ask why and he says he called her daikon once and she seems to be mad. We learn that Leo meant it back then as a compliment, because as Otome told him before and now daikons are strong vegetables that fight on. Everyone is stunned, saying how most people would take it as an insult. Leo says he didn’t mean to, back then it meant that he liked her.

Impressions:

I really did like how we got more focus on Leo and Sunao. For the most part this anime hadn’t really been following the lines of a romance anime at all but we got in this episode some actual advancement of their relationship, as well as some news, even if Sunao didn’t hear it, that Leo didn’t mean anything bad by saying what he did that caused Sunao to hate him in the first place. Although Sunao didn’t hear it, and I don’t know if she will anytime soon, I think when she does it will likely change her attitude and again we will see more of their advancement.

Ok, I know I’ve said this before but I love Noriko so much, her character just makes me laugh and I don’t really know why. It’s probably just the randomness she has, how she just yells out Kuuu! So enthusiastically. I know it’s nothing like sophisticated humor or anything, just random and funny so I loved her small bit in this episode.

I also thought the part where Shizuka and Sunao’s sister were talking was funny. How Shizuka mentioned Sunao’s obsession with peanut butter, sighing as she said it and Sunao’s sister saying she knows, agreeing how weird it is.
