Haseo deals with a PK ambush that is being planned against him, as Tabby tries to do her best to help Haseo even though he doesn’t want anyone’s help.

Summary:
- Tabby and the rest of her guild are waiting around when Haseo teleports in next to them. Hideo calls Haseo papa, as Tabby is mama. Haseo kind of goes huh? and Tabby tries to explain but Haseo just says they are in the way and teleports away.
- We see Kuhn talking with Pai outside of some guild home. Pai says how he can’t go in yet and Kuhn is kind of annoyed saying he doesn’t like things being kept from him. Yata comes out and eventually lets Kuhn in.
- He sees all the screens and Yata says how they are watching Haseo because he possesses powers like Kuhn’s. Kuhn sees on the screen Haseo teleporting away, and Tabby running up and just missing him.
- Kuhn talks to Tabby asking if she knows Haseo. She says yes but the story is too long and Kuhn just tells her that some PKers are planning on ambushing him.
- Haseo is running down a dungeon when some players talk to him, saying they heard a rumor about Tri Edge that if you go to a certain filed you can see him. Haseo buys the information and heads over there finding him in the middle of hundreds of PKers waiting for him.
- Tabby’s guild also teleports in, not noticed by anyone and surprised by how many are there. They decide they will help Haseo, as this is too much then he should have to deal with.
- Phyllo contacts Touta and talks with him. He tells him of the ambush plan on Haseo after learning of it from Tabby. He says he wants him to investigate the person who started it.
- Haseo is easily fighting off the hundreds of PKers around him. However he gets knocked down and Tabby heals him and he continues to fight. The PKers notice that they are helping him, and so they attack Tabby and her guild.
- Touta is waiting in a dungeon and talks with Bordeaux who arrives. He questions her about the ambush and she kind of hints she was behind it, saying that the reason is because she wants Haseo to become more infamous so her party can kill him and become even more infamous then that.
- Haseo finishes up killing everyone, and we see Tabby and her guild is all dead from trying to help Haseo. Tabby is with her guild at the waterfall and the other two say how they can’t continue to support Haseo. Tabby says she still wants to and the other two leave her all alone.
- Haseo is in the cathedral just looking at the podium when Tabby comes up behind him. Haseo nearly kills her and when Tabby asks why he tells her to never follow him again.
Impressions:
One thing I liked is that Haseo actually gave a reason behind why he was killing PKers. They didn’t just leave us to the assumption he was killing everyone because he was crazy. Although that’s kind of part of it, he said how the reason was because Tri Edge was a PKer so if he kills PKers then he will eventually meet up with him. Although it may not be the best course of action, it showed that he did have a plan and was doing things for a reason.
I think just the whole feel of this episode was amazing. I absolutely loved the sequence with Haseo fighting everyone, Phyllo and Touta talking. I thought the BGM God Diva playing in the background during all this fit amazingly well. Although that’s the main BGM in this series, it really accentuated this episode I thought.
Tabby is also getting a much bigger part then I thought. It seems like a lot of the next episode will be focused on her as well. She is becoming isolated and lost in the game because of her desire to help Haseo, even though no one else wants to do it, and Haseo doesn’t even want her to help him. I wonder if next episode she will quit the game or something, sense she isn’t’ in G.U. they have to explain what happened other here. Although, I do wish later on in like the 2nd or 3rd game she comes back.
Another small note about this episode was Phyllo. Holy shit is all I have to say. He was awesome in this episode actually taking the initiative and doing something, leaving those guys with a message saying if they don’t do that then they’d better start. That part was just awesome. I also think on a more serious note we are seeing a bit from Phyllo as he doesn’t really know what to do. There’s nothing more he can do for Haseo yet he seemed to be trying in this episode.
Ok, although it was just a small bit in this episode I loved that they actually mentioned the .hackers. It connects this series more with the previous .hack games and so on, and again even though it wasn’t a big deal it was a small thing that really added a lot I think.
