Sunao works a part time job in order to get some more money when she finds out she is working with Kani from the student council.

Summary:
- Sunao dreams she is in a play and she is some detective. In the end it end sup bad however, Erika being a thief and escaping with a jewel. She goes though the morning and tells her sister how her dream was good until the end. She remembers back to the spotlights hitting her in her dream and says that’s what she needs. In anticipation for when the drama club is made she wants to buy spotlights.
- She goes to the store and sees that spotlights are extremely expensive. As she walks away from the store she overhears something and the idea goes off in her head that she needs a part time job if she is to get the spotlights.
- She applies and is accepted at a curry restaurant. The owner tells her to wait for her senpai to explain things to her and when she arrives, Sunao finds out it is Kani, the short blond girl from the student council.
- There is a lot of tension between Sunao and Kani, Kani trying to get Sunao to quit because they don’t like each other, telling her she needs to memorize all 300 items on the menu by tomorrow. She works though the day and at the end after closing, Sunao teases Kani saying since Kani wants Sunao to call her senpai, that means traditionally she should be treated to a meal.
- Kani accepts, although not too happily and gives her some daikon curry. Sunao thinks she did this on purpose because she hates daikon and they get into a fight again.
- We see at Leo’s house Kani there telling Leo and his guy friends about Sunao working there. The next day at work Leo comes to the restaurant. Kani yells at him that he is just here to see Sunao, so to hurry and eat and get out. Sunao, also still hating Leo for calling her daikon that one time, gives him extra spicy curry and yells for him to get out.
- Nagomi comes to the restaurant and Kani and the owner freak out. We learn that if someone finishes the super special spicy curry in 20 minutes they get it free. Nagomi has been coming there every day for a long time getting all her meals free because she is able to stand the spice. Sunao tries to work with Kani to come up with a way of winning against her, but fail.
- Otome comes by and Sunao says she will treat her to a meal. Then, Erika arrives and soon dozens of more people arrive. Erika says how she is paying for all of them, telling them all they can order as much as they want and that she will pay for it, just to make Sunao work frantically. Eventually she takes Erika’s order and she keeps asking her hard questions about the menu. Sunao however answers expertly, having supposedly memorized the menu much to Kani’s surprise and astonishment.
- After everyone leaves and the store closes up, Kani and Sunao accidentally run into each other and get spice all over them. They take a shower/bath together and talk, Kani saying she is surprised she memorized the whole menu, seemingly feeling kind of sorry. Sunao says its ok and they talk, both of them apologizing for the way they’ve been.
- The next day they seem to be working nicely together, but then a small spat and they are arguing, however seemingly more friends then before.
Impressions:
I rather like the individual attention they are giving the characters. The last couple of episodes focused a lot on the different girls, although involving Sunao there was a heavy focus on the different characters which is nice. I love Kani’s character, although not in the same why as Nagomi. I like her because of her history, personality and demeanor in a more serious sense, Kani is just fun to watch. The way she yells at everyone and how energetic she is. She is a bit annoying of a character but I think she is supposed to be and it doesn’t really seem to be overdoing it much, unlike the damn parrot.
Almost every episode keeps showing more and more how much of a total bitch that Erika is. I’m surprised that they have hardly shown any redeeming qualities in her that would lead her to be a harem choice, as she is in the game, even if the anime isn’t heading that way and isn’t following the game it doesn’t look like anywhere in the future that Sunao will get along with her, just because of how much a bitch she is. We’ve seen her get closer to Otome, Nagomi, and a little bit with Kani in this episode, but in this episode Erika was such a bitch.
It seems like each passing episode Sunao is winning over members of the student counsel. A couple of episodes ago we got Otome becoming rather fond of her, last episode we got her and Nagomi, and here we got Sunao and Kani. Although at the end the two of them were still arguing, as the guy said they are still closer friends then before and we saw a rather calm serious moment between them when they were taking a bath.
I still think that Noriko, the camera girl is hilarious. In this episode when Sunao was taking her order she just yelled out Kuuu! Like she was actually communicating, even though Sunao didn’t understand her for some reason the guy with her did. (lol, I forgot his name but that’s the running gag with his character where people keep forgetting it)
Kani is just awesome, too bad she doesn’t get enough screen time. The quality of this episode is especially good, better than most others.
And also,
“Like she was actually communicating, even though Sunao didn’t understand her for some reason the guy with her did”?
You mean Murata, the blue haired guy?
Yeah, either he understood her or he knows enough about her to know what she would want.
