Summary:
- The war against Kunnekamun rages on. We see everyone heading along and they are attacked by some zombie like creatures. Dii is watching them, we see the zombies being made by him. He says how he doesn’t’ want o go into a fight, and there is a flash of light that envelops Hakuoro and Genjimaru. Eruruu sees it and runs inside it and the three of them are teleported in front of Kuuya.
- They talk about how Kuuya doesn’t want to be hated and doesn’t want for there to be pain. She wants for everyone to be united. Eruruu and Hakuoro say things like how there can be more then one tribe and so on. Kuuya says how she has no choice, and boards her Avu Kammu. She says to Hakuoro she doesn’t want to be his enemy, but has no choice as a leader of Kunnekamun. She attacks him and Hakuoro fights her. Eruruu tries to help but Genjimaru tells her not to get involved. She says she already is involved as they share the same lifeline. Genjimaru is surprised, saying how she is the promiser. Genjimaru tells Hakuoro the Avu Kammu weak spot and he manages to defeat Kuuya.
- Kuuya falls out of her Avu Kammu and says how this can’t be. She tries to take a small sword and kill Hakuoro and Hakuoro just tells her to go ahead. She says she can’t do it and Hakuoro knows that.
- After everyone else arrives at the scene, Dii shows up accompanied by Hein and Hauenkua in their Avu Kammu. Dii asks Genjimaru if he is going back on their promise. He asks if he is still going to hold him here. Urutorii and Kamyu both recognize Dii, knowing him. Kuuya tries to tell Hein and Hauenkua to capture Dii but they say how they can’t listen to her anymore.
- They attack and Hakuoro starts to feel something. Urutorii teleports everyone to safety, knowing Hakuoro’s powers but Genjimaru who is holding Kuuya is left behind along with Hakuoro. Hakuoro transforms, and defeats the two Avu Kammu, killing them for good. Hakuoro was partially in control during this, trying to tell them not to attack because he didn’t want to kill them, but ended up dong so anyways.
- Dii says some stuff to Hakuoro such as he was seduced during the battle, but they cannot have direct contacts. He awoken when he choose that girl. We see Kamyu behind a pillar watching all this. Dii looking at her. Hakuoro is surprised, asking if she saw him. She says she didn’t mean to. She steps out saying to Dii how she was worried about him when he disappeared. Dii says to her, “Mutsumi, come out.”
- A girl who looks just like Kamyu but slightly different appears from Kamyu, addressing Dii as father. She fights against Hakuoro, doing remarkably well by hitting him with magic and flying out of his reach.
- Dii asks Genjimaru if he will give him Kunnekamun. Genjimaru says he can’t. We find out there was a contract made with Dii for the Avu Kammu. Genjimaru. Genjimaru seems to have a history with Dii before this though, and saying how he cannot let Kuuya be taken into account, he rushes forward stabbing Dii. There is then a big explosion and Genjimaru is splattered all over and Dii’s wound heals. He says to Kuuya as she just wakes up that the price has been paid by him taking Genjimaru’s life.
- Dii tells Mutsumi that its time to go and they fly off, leaving the city in a blaze of fire as Hakuoro walks out his normal self holding Kuuya. Mutsumi saying before she flies off to herself, why he didn’t choose her, her other father.
Impressions:
Ok, the main thing I want to say about this episode is wtf, Mutsumi? She kind of came out of no where and they hardly even started to explain who the hell she was. Looking back now, she is the one from the OP, not Kamyu, who has a halo and screams in an explosion of power. It’s pretty obvious looking back that it’s not Kamyu; I guess I never thought much of it. However that doesn’t explain what she is, or what Kamyu is. She called Dii her father, and Hakuoro her other father. Also, Kamyu seemed to know that Mutsumi was in her because when Dii told Mutsumi to come out Kamyu was shocked and saying no, don’t come out.
One thing I’m unsure of is what Dii meant by Hakuoro awakened when he “choose that girl. Right as he said that they cut to a shot of Kamyu. Normally from that statement I’d think that to mean that Hakuoro choose Eruruu because of the contract he made and so on, but they showed Kamyu as he said this and then later Mutsumi asked why he didn’t choose her. If she was eligible to be chosen I don’t think necessarily the whole contract thing meant being chosen, that in someway he choose Kamyu. Although, that doesn’t entirely make sense as supposedly he met Kamyu a little ways into the series, but he was a beast before the series started because that’s when the thing with Eruruu happened. Although, going back to the Eruruu thing, he mentioned the choosing the girl after saying something about making a contact which kind of relates to him making contact with Eruruu.
Dii is again the big mystery in this episode as well. I’m leaning more and more to my theory of how him and Hakuoro are both gods or they are somehow the same god because not only did Dii call Hakuoro his other half, when he was stabbed by Genjimaru there was an image of the beasts head that appeared behind him, and from the color it seemed like the same one Hakuoro was, not a different one.
One thing they said in this episode, which kind of surprised me, was that Hakuoro and Eruruu share the same lifeline. I hadn’t guessed or assumed that before but thinking about it, it makes perfect sense, what with her contract being giving him her body and so on. So basically Hakuoro and Eruruu share the same life, one dies the other does. That’s what the part of the promise about Eruruu giving herself to him meant, but she still has her heart as they said in last episode.
They also revealed the origin of the Avu Kammu was explained in this episode. Basically they were a contract with Dii; he gave them the Avu Kammu. Although it was a little fuzzy on what exactly he was supposed to get in return, in the end he accepted Genjimaru’s life but it seemed as if that wasn’t the original agreed price.
About the bit about Dii telling Hakuoro about “choosing that girl”…. I’ll just say one word.
Mikoto.
/me runs
Hmm, I actually didn’t think much about her. I guess I just thought of her as being there to show that Hakuoro cared about others and treated them like real people.
I was thinking, that Dii just links back when Hakuoro was a scholar, Dii is probably the one that killed him or just some other scholar that just happened to mix up in this weird development.
I wasn’t expecting the change of Kamyu, well, it just didn’t make sense, since she sucked Aruuru’s blood like if she was a vampire, then later on she was just “a strange thing out of this world”
I’m guessing that Kuuya’s father wanted to safe her from dying and made the contract, then in exchange to break the contract genjimaru had to place his life to finish it, that’s what i’m guessing, then again they aren’t explaining so much… they just continue as if it was normal :S
