Kyo finds out the truth about what happened to the Maihama server and after a fight against the Gards Orm with Shizuno as his co pilot; Shizuno tells Kyo how the previous him and her first met.

Summary:

• We start out seeing Kyo crying because of the apparent destruction of Maihama; however he transfers and sees that it is fine. Shima transfers in and says he will explain everything, and explains this to everyone, May Yu, May Yin, Lu Sheng, so on. He takes them on at rain and says that he server was moved a while ago by him, Shizuno, and the previous Kyo. He takes them on the train which appears on the moon. He says the server was moved here. Someone is surprised saying how the moon is undergrads Orm control but Shima says how they aren’t here anymore, so basically the server is the in middle of abandoned enemy territory.
• Ryoko is recording Kyo swim when Shizuno walks up. Ryoko asks her if she loves Kyo. She says she still does and Ryoko, as expected, has no reaction. Ryoko and Kyo go on their aquarium date they had before, and kind of just talk. Ryoko tells Kyo what she asked Shizuno and he seems surprised, but he hugs Ryoko, and she seems surprised. He is then called for a mission and ports away.
• Shima tells everyone they found a large Deutra Area and are going to deploy all three Zegapains to fight it; however the data for Ryoko isn’t in the Altair. They do some checks and say how wet damage occurred and it’s in the server repairing. Minato asks Kyo what he did and he says nothing. He goes with Shizuno and the others come to and they fight against the area.
• They get there and find out it’s a trap, after Kyo destroys it they are caught in a self destruct and because they are out of fuel, are forced to land. On the Oceanus, they say because of the leftover particles of the area they cant’ locate their ship. Kyo and Shizuno are on the ground, having to wait to be rescued.
• Shizuno tells Kyo of how they first met, they had a situation similar to this and they were forced to wait for rescue. She tells him how when they were standing Shizuno told Kyo of how she had no name except Yehl, which meant Apparition apparently, so her name was like Apparition Apparition. Kyo names her Misaki Shizuno, and when she says something about how they can’t feel the rain, Kyo kisses her saying this is the way they feel things. The Kyo in the present reacts embarrassed that he did that in the past. They are eventually rescued by the other Zegapains. Meanwhile on the Oceanus, we see Shima. He collapses to his knees in pain, his entire arm glowing and disappearing, and he says how time is running out.

Impressions:

It was really odd how there were no records of Shizuno or Shima before they became apparitions. I really don’t have a concrete idea on why this is, but my guess is it is somehow connected to the Gards Orm. I mean, Lu Sheng even asked last episode if there was some connection between them two and Gards Orm and Sin seemed to know Shizuno personally.

One fairly big thing in this episode was still the whole conflict with if Shizuno stilled loved Kyo. Before she had kept saying she doesn’t love him, that she loved the old him, but then she told Ryoko that she does love hi so there could be some conflict there. It really depends on Ryoko’s fate. What happens to her will determine what happens to Kyo and Shizuno. If everything goes to normal and it’s a happy life I think we may see some thing where things are as they are now, both of them liking each other, but if someone sacrifices themselves or Ryoko looses her memory Kyo may decide to not get involved with her to make it so she doesn’t have to know about the horrible truth of reality.

Seeing the past of how Kyo and Shizuno met was really neat I thought. I was surprised that Kyo was the one who named Shizuno; I guess I never thought it was odd that Shizuno had three names, Misaki Shizuno and then the name Yehl that they called her some times. One thing that they didn’t touch on which probably means they will go back to the past is why Shizuno was crying before she met Kyo. So for that reason they will probably go to the past again.

They didn’t really touch on it a lot but it kind of seemed a big deal that Ryoko wasn’t in the Altair. They didn’t’ really think it was that big of a problem and they didn’t really even mention it after it happened, but it seems like it would be a big deal. It could have something to do with what happened between them in the aquarium because she has all the emotional problems but we really don’t know because they didn’t give much info on it.

The next interesting thing in this was Shima’s disappearing arm. It seems like almost everyone is failing in some way. A couple of episodes back we say Minato’s leg was all flaky, and now we see Shima. Either they will fix everything soon, or a lot of people are going to die before the end and it will add a bit of drama.

In the preview for next episode there seems to be more about what happened to Shima and maybe a bit of clarification on the mystery behind him. It also seemed as if Ryoko had returned to normal in the fake world, because of the way she was acting with Kyo when they were eating at what was maybe the festival or something.
