Saito goes out with Mont and Guiche to find a cure for the love potion that Louise took by accident, in order to get the cure they must go up against magicians threatening the water spirit.

Summary:
- Saito tries to do the laundry but Louise, under the effects of the love potion is extremely clingy and jealous that he is going to meet other girls. We see earlier Mont explaining to him that Louise took a love potion. He asks when it wears off and she says anywhere from a month to a couple of years.
- As Louise is clinging onto Saito, Siesta walks by. Louise says how he was going out to meet with other girls and Saito just says she was just walking by. Louise says she loves him so much and Siesta is hearing this, trying to smile but is seen shaking. She just turns away and heads off and Louise runs back inside saying how he likes her more.
- After trying to explain things to Siesta, Saito heads inside to Louise’s room and finds her in only her nightie on the bed waiting for him. She tries to seduce him, saying how she loves him but she has no sex appeal, and she starts to cry.
- Saito, not being able to handle it, heads off to find Mont. He asks her about a cure and she says the only way to cure the potion is to get some rare ingredient they don’t have here at the castle. By blackmailing Mont, since love potions are illegal, she and Guiche agree to help him get the ingredient needed.
- Saito, Mont, Guiche, and Louise head off and eventually arrive at the lake in question, which has flooded greatly since Mont’s last visit. Come night fall the water spirit which has the ingredient appears and Mont asks for the ingredient. She refuses but Saito begs and she says if they can defeat two magicians who are trying to attack her, they can.
- They set out to find the magicians and find two magicians in cloaks. Guiche and Saito plan a joint attack on them, but end up failing. However Louise saves them by causing an explosion, knocking back the hoods revealing the magicians as Tabitha and Kirche. They explain what has happened and Kirche says they have to destroy the spirit because it’s flooding everything and causing trouble for Tabitha’s family.
- They all go back to the spirit and ask why it’s flooding everything. She says because someone stole a special ring and she can only travel though water so in order to get it back she has to flood the world. Saito says he will get the ring back for her and she says how Gandalfr has never let her down before, and gives him the ingredient with his promise of recovering the ring.
- Back at the school, the effects have worn off Louise and she remembers everything that happened, angry at herself that she did such things and takes it out on Saito, when all of a sudden Henrietta comes in through the window.
- We see somewhere Fouquet bowing before a man in a throne she calls King Cromwell, the same name the spirit said as the guy who stole the ring.
Impressions:
We seem to be getting into what the final conflict of the show is going to be, or at least this season (there is plenty of material for another). This Corm well guy seems to be the final bad guy likely and with him being introduced we are getting near the end. Not only is Cromwell the guy who stole the water spirits ring, so Saito has to eventually go against him anyways, but Fouquet bowed before him and called him King, and it presumptuous to guess he is the one who let her out of jail, so that there shows he is most likely on the evil side.
Lovesick Louise was an interesting site. Some people have been saying how it wasn’t good or they hated it but I rather enjoyed it. I thought it was hilarious at times and it really showed another side to Louise. I don’t think that she would ever necessarily act that way without a potion, but I don’t think those kind of feelings were made up entirely. I was hoping for something to say like the potion didn’t make Louise love him, it just enhanced any feelings there which would show that she does love him without a potion.
A small note that I found a bit odd is also, is how the characters didn’t recognize each other when Saito and Guiche went to attack Kirche and Tabitha. I mean it was obvious just from Tabitha’s staff but I would think that, especially for Tabitha and Kirche, they would be able to see who they are attacking and not be suddenly surprised like they were.
The appearance of Henrietta at the end of this episode was kind of sudden, and she didn’t say anything. Obviously she will find out what she wanted at the beginning of next episode but I wonder why they couldn’t have just shown her at the end of the next episode. I suppose they had to have some way to end the argument and Louise chasing Saito around.
One thing that popped into my head by watching this episode, especially at the segment when they were talking about magic elements, was what element Louise is. Now I read in some Wiki article I think that from information from the novels there are five elements; Earth, Water, Air, Fire, and Void. Void is supposedly the most powerful element but extremely rare. Now, Louise hasn’t really shown any elemental magic so far in the series so I’m really guessing at her being Void element. Because she can do magic, mainly blow stuff up, and it doesn’t really fit with any of the other elements so it could quite possibly fit into what Void is.
