Hakuoro and co. face off against the approaching Avu Kammu and Hakuoro end sup going up against one of them himself in order to let the others escape.

Summary:
- The Avu Kammu approach and Oboro and Benawi try to fight them off but get their ass kicked. They retreat and use machines made out of wood that Hakuoro devised that fire giant logs with stones at the end, almost knocking down and being a stopper for the Avu Kammu, but they are defeated as well.
- After Benawi and co. retreat, Hakuoro approaches them saying he will draw the Avu Kammu way so everyone else can evacuate. He says he has a plan and Benawi says fine, they will listen to his words and head off. Hakuoro runs up the Avu Kammu and pisses Hauenkua off. He runs away, leading them away from the castle and giving time for people to evacuate.
- Eventually Hauenkua catches up to him and starts attacking him, Hakuoro evading most of the attacks. He is slammed against the wall and when he is about to be severely wounded, Aruruu jumps in on Mukuru, pushing back Hauenkua’s Avu Kammu. Hakuoro yells of her to run but she says no, she will protect daddy. Hauenkua is pissed at this, saying he will kill both of them. He tries to attack Mukuru but he evades him mostly. However Hauenkua lands a blow, sending Aruruu flying in the air. He then slashes her with his claws, sending Aruruu’s body flying, bleeding profusely.
- Hakuoro runs up, holding her dead body and screams no. Hauenkua laughs, saying that’s what he wants to hear and then he stomps on Hakuoro who is holding Aruruu, just as Eruruu sees this, and screams in disbelief at Hakuoro’s supposed death.
- However Hakuoro emerges in a swirl of black aura like power as a huge demon monster thing. He fights off the Avu Kammu, kicking their ass and being able to easily destroy them. Eruruu runs up, holding Aruruu seeing she is dead.
- We see a flashback to a huge rock in some lab with highly advanced technology. Someone in a lab coat stands before it, and speaks in Hakuoro’s voice. He is approached by another scientist. Because the one who is supposedly Hakuoro saw this, eh is shot and his blood spatters against the fossil of the monster. His blood is then absorbed by the monster and the eyes start to glow.
- Hakuoro defeats all the Avu Kammu, Hauenkua managing to get out of his and escape. We then see another flashback to Eruruu running through the woods looking for Aruruu. After an earthquake she finds Aruruu, dead. She screams saying now, someone help her, someone save Aruruu. She is then approached by the beast we saw Hakuoro turn in, asking if she wants him to save her. Eruruu says she will do anything and the beast asks even give her body and soul. She says yes. In the preset we see her say how she gave everything to save Aruruu. There is then a breeze of air and Aruruu comes back alive. She weakly looks around, seeing the beast and calling it daddy.
- Hakuoro wakes up in the castle in his room. However his hands are like the beasts were. He screams and then wakes up again, seeing that was supposedly a dream and his hands are normal. Eruruu comes in and says how everything is fine, the Avu Kammu all retreated and Aruruu is perfectly healthy.
Impressions:
Holy Shit! This episode was just mind blowing. I mean, throughout the entire episode I was just on the edge of my seat desperately trying to piece together information and clues and wondering what the hell was happening in regards to other stuff. I mean, just wow, things have really started to escalade and it seems now with two or four episodes left that things are finally reaching the peak conflict. We saw a huge mystery behind Hakuoro, who he is and where he came from, time wise, as well as a mystery behind what happened to Eruruu.
Ok, well first off there is the question about who Hakuoro is and his past as well as where he came from, mainly what time he came from. There was the whole thing where they showed him in a lab coat amongst a lot of technology standing in front of the giant statue of the fossilized monster. He was then shot with a gun. Now that right there basically says he is from like the present, time wise, because the world he is in now doesn’t have anywhere close to that kind of technical advances. Also, there is the whole deal with what is the connection between him and the beast. It seemed like when he was shot in the future world, his blood was absorbed by the fossil of the monster, which is probably the whole reason he isn’t actually dead for whatever reason this kind of saved him and preserved him.
Also, another thing that surprised the hell out of me was the whole deal with Eruruu. Now, I was expecting mostly the bit about Hakuoro and him being a beast and that there was some hidden past that would be a big deal, but the whole thing with Eruruu in the woods just had me completely confused. It sounded almost as if she basically sold her soul and body as she said to save Aruruu’s life. Now, what’s up with that? I mean obviously it didn’t mean she disappeared from existence or anything because she has been in the series thus far. Also, what exactly are the details of the whole contract she had? I mean, Aruruu has like been brought back to life twice now, because it seemed like she was killed by Hauenkua because Eruruu said something about how she was brought back. Also, (yes, a lot of alsos) what exactly was the deal with the beast that made the contract with Eruruu, I mean obviously it’s the same one that Hakuoro turned into but this is seemingly before Eruruu found Hakuoro so did the beast turn into Hakuoro then? Why was the beast there in the first place? Hakuoro was standing, in the future, before a fossil of it or something so does that mean that the place in time where it wasn’t a fossil is where he was now? How exactly did the whole transfer of him into the beast and time work out?
Small side note is that Hauenkua is still alive. He seemed to have gotten out of his Avu Kammu before it was destroyed and ran away screaming so we will likely see him again; otherwise they would have just killed him off.
Small side note about next episode from the preview, they showed a bit with Yuzuha which got me wondering how they are going to give her case closure, with the whole illness she has. It was never that big of a focus but it’s always been there and since its nearing the end they will likely conclude it. I don’t know, from the preview Eruruu holding Yuzuha’s hands made me think that she might die but I’m still not sure, her death wouldn’t give that big of an impact to the story, just give it some drama and there’s plenty of other places the show could get that from.
