Keiichi and the goddesses go to a hot springs spa where they run into Marller. After a night of truce where Marller and them get along, they go back and we see that Marller had and ulterior motive for hanging out with them, as she prepares to unleash her plan.

Summary:

• Keiichi and the goddess go to a hot springs spa. There, they run into Marller. Marller says she is just here on private business and isn’t’ trying to go against them. Because of the relationship that Urd and Marller have of how they used to be friends, the five of them hang out together all night, just having fun. We see the next morning after everyone has left that Marller obtained a lock of Urd’s hair, and this was the reason for her interaction with them.
• At Keiichi’s house, Urd and Skuld get in a fight for Urd leaves the house for a bit after Skuld yelled at her to leave. After burying ice cream for Skuld to make up to her, Urd is attacked by Marller and taken prisoner. A while later Belldandy found the ice cream Urd got and they find out she was taken by Marller.
• Urd is chained up in Marller’s place. Marller tells her how she used her hair to cultivate this, and shows her a body of Urd in a tank. She says it’s just a body that is identical to hers, but has no soul. She plans on splitting Urd’s goddess and demon sides. Urd says it’s impossible but Marller sues some device and does it.
• Skuld goes looking for Urd and is about to give up because of not finding her when she runs into her. Skuld starts crying saying she is glad she found her and she is sorry. Rd just grins and seals Skuld in some mirror she has. Evil Urd brings her back to Marller’s place and tells Marller of her plans to get rid of all the goddess so they can make Earth theirs and make it like hell. She says that Marller will be the one who goes down in history and when Marller is obsessed with the idea Urd says to herself how she will continue to use Marller for a while longer.
• Back at Keiichi’s house, Belldandy and Keiichi get back from looking when they run into Evil Urd who is at home. She just says that was drinking with Marller. Keiichi goes out to look for Skuld and while he is gone Urd tires to use some glowing sphere to seal Belldandy, but Belldandy keeps evading her.
• Back at Marller’s place, the good Urd wakes up and is all caring, having her demon side out of her. She frees Skuld and tells her how there is another one of her that’s sealed her. They then think of Belldandy, and how she must be in danger.
• Keiichi returns and Urd has an idea how to get Belldandy. She goes over to Keiichi and tells him to close his eyes. He does and she kisses him in front of Belldandy, causing her to run off crying.

Impressions:

Wow, I’m surprised how much of a cliffhanger this left with. I wasn’t quite expecting this episode to be a two parter as it seems to be. I’m glad they finally brought back Marller. I was a bit surprised when they made her appear a while back and then didn’t really do anything with her. She kind of just did nothing for about ten episodes it seems and she was a large part of the first season, most of the problems they dealt with in the later half were caused by Marller so I wonder how much more influence she will have after this event. This isn’t the kind of show where they would kill her off or anything so it’s likely she will just get away and then continue to try and cause problems for them. Speaking of Marller I was a bit surprised she still had the misfortune guy with her. Although he didn’t really do much so he is mostly useless, she did have him before so it was interesting that they kept the connection between them.

I loved the goody goody Urd in this episode. It was so funny how she was apologizing, and crying about what she did to Skuld and so on. I loved Skuld’s, “Gross” comments upon seeing Urd act like she did without her demon self. I don’t expect this change to be permanent, and it would be rather disappointing if it was because Urd’s fiery side was part of what made her character great, I hope they show more Goddess only Urd in the next episode before things go back to normal.

Also at the beginning I loved Belldandy’s comment that if anyone acted like a goddess or a demon, she would punish them. I loved the way she said it, so calmly and smiling, but making it sound like what she would do would be something severe. Even Marller and Urd said how when she says it in that manner of being calm and natural about it it’s even scarier, as they don’t know what she would do.
