Hakuoro learns about a war that is to take place between Kuuya’s country and another and we see the hidden power that Kuuya’s country as they face their enemy.

Summary:
We start off seeing some bunny eared intruder in a mask jumping over a wall into the castle/palace. The guards spot her and all yell after her so she starts to run away from them, eventually having dozens and dozens of guards after her. The guards yell how she is heading for the royal chambers. They chase after her and she heads up a flight of stairs to where Hakuoro is just sitting at a desk. She doesn’t seem to notice him and thinks she has evaded the guards. She whines to herself out loud saying how she told Kuuya she couldn’t do this. She listens for the guards and Hakuoro asks her if something is wrong with Kuuya. The intruder is startled, and falls over having just realized Hakuoro was a couple feet away. The guards yell up if Hakuoro is ok and he asks them what the matter is. They say there was a thief caught and they are trying to catch her. He says he hasn’t seen anyone, but heard some noise from that direction and the guards head off away from Hakuoro and the intruder. After the guards leave Hakuoro turns to the intruder and says there’s no reason to worry, and asks if she is Kuuya’s messenger. She asks if he is Hakuoro and he says yes. She introduces herself as Sakuya and she is here to pick him up for a meeting with Kuuya. Hakuoro asks if Genjimaru isn’t coming and we find out that Sakuya is Genjimaru’s granddaughter. Hakuoro says how he is surprised she was able to penetrate the castes defenses with that appearance and she starts crying, leaving Hakuoro confused, not knowing what to do. Eventually the two of them go sneak off to meet with Kuuya but Eruruu manages to see this. Hakuoro and Sakuya get to Kuuya and we see that Eruruu has followed them and looks on at their conversation. Kuuya first off asks Sakuya what happened to her long hair, as we see her without a mask on and it is back of the neck length. Sakuya feels around and starts freaking out. We see a brief flash to when she was evading the guards and jumped over their spears and them cutting off her hair. She just falls to her knees and cries and Hakuoro asks what brought them here today. She says she wanted to continue their conversation the other day about the concubine he is going to invite from her country. Eruruu hears this and freaks out, yelling out loud concubine? She falls over and this alerts Hakuoro. Eventually Eruruu comes out of hiding and apologizes for eavesdropping. Kuuya introduces herself, how she is the emperor of Kunnekamun. She tells Eruruu not to worry, that there is nothing going on between her and Hakuoro. Eruruu says she wasn’t thinking that and Kuuya just asks why she was eavesdropping then. Eruruu just gets embarrassed and doesn’t say anything. Kuuya says how she was thinking of sending Sakuya to be his concubine, much to the surprise of Sakuya. Kuuya says she is hard working and “skilled” Eruruu freaks out at her saying skilled. Kuuya however goes on to mean that she didn’t mean Skilled that way even though that’s how she said it. Hakuoro just says, since we find out Kuuya and Sakuya are best friends, that she would miss her. Kuuya says that she will have to think this over. Kuuya tells Hakuoro how they may not be able to meet for a while, her country will soon be at war, but tells him not to worry, she won’t loose.
The next day we hear Benawi reporting to Hakuoro. He says the country about to attack Kunnekamun is just a small country consisting of a few tribes; however they are allies with one of the top three strongest nations. Hakuoro asks if that means Kunnekamun stands a chance and Benawi says normally no, but there are rumors of how they have hidden powers they have yet to reveal. Hakuoro goes for a walk outside when he sees some people gathered around Aruruu who is on the ground. We see two puncture wounds in Aruruu’s neck with blood dripping down. He asks what’s going on and we find out that Kamyu was sucking her blood. Aruruu seems fine and Hakuoro tells Oboro how they need to find Kamyu. Aruruu gets up saying she will look for her too. Hakuoro tries to tell her no but she insists and everyone heads out to look for her. Hakuoro eventually finds her sitting by the lake side crying. Upon seeing Hakuoro she gets up and cries in his arms saying how she has always been different. She is the only one with black wings and so forth and because of that people treat her differently. She says before she came here she didn’t have any friends. She says she doesn’t want black wings like this, she wants pure ones like her sister, if she did she wouldn’t have done such a thing to Aruruu. Still crying she says how Aruruu must hate her now, she was her first friend. Hakuoro just comforts her saying Aruruu wouldn’t hate her over this. We then see Aruruu with the others saying how she found Kamyu and seams happy. Kamyu is surprised, still looking sad. Aruruu just says yay, she found her and Kamyu starts to cry again. They all head back, Kamyu holding Aruruu’s hand. When they get back to Yuzuha who was waiting for them Kamyu again cries from being happy how she has all these people who are her friends.
The next day, Hakuoro gets word that the two countries have started their advance on Kunnekamun. We see a battlefield with the advancing soldiers ready to charge and attack Kunnekamun. However we see in the distance about half a dozen huge mecha like armor suits. We see inside Kuuya yelling how they will not defeat Kunnekamun. The other commander just yells that it’s only a trick to scare them and both sides rush forward. Kunnekamun however just slaughters the enemy, not being able to be harmed at all in their suits which are obviously real, because of the hundreds they just slaughtered. The commander seeing this doesn’t know what to do and charges at the suit that has Kuuya in it who has up until now done nothing. Kuuya kills him and we see her saying how it’s the first time she has ever killed anyone. Word gets back to Hakuoro how the country that invaded that was supposed to be one of the top three strongest nations was completely annihilated by Kunnekamun. Hakuoro goes up to his room here he finds Sakuya waiting for him saying she is here to take him to Kuuya. Hakuoro follows her to Kuuya who is standing next to one of the giant mecha things. Kuuya says this is Avu Kammu, the power bestowed upon them by their god. Kuuya tells Hakuoro of what it was like on the battlefield. She tells him how they slaughtered their enemies and they couldn’t’ be defeated. She says how she defeated all the villages and none could stop her power. Hakuoro just says enough and Kuuya is a bit taken back. She starts to try and explain and Hakuoro just says enough. She kind of nods and looks away, saying how that was her first time on the battlefield. She had never experienced the feelings of killing people and taking the lives of soldiers like they were her pawns. She says how painful those feelings are. She says she is surprised at Hakuoro for making her feel this vulnerable, she has never felt this way before. We see the next day some man from the nation that invaded Kunnekamun begging Hakuoro to help him ask for mercy. Hakuoro jut nods to Urutorii and she says she will go to Kunnekamun as a messenger of peace. Urutorii goes over to Kunnekamun and speaks with some long haired man, one we saw in one of the suits annihilating people. She tries to tell them that they have defended themselves and shouldn’t’ attack. She says that the Onkami will not approve of further actions but he just laughs, saying that they don’t care and how, they worship a false god to them and they mean nothing, they will crush all who attack them. She asks to speak with the royal family but he just says the emperor put him in charge of matters of this issue, that he speaks for the emperor. The long haired person heads away and Urutorii is left there. We see the long haired person go into a room with the winged person we saw with Yue. The long haired says how this will be fun, if they don’t move, move for them, then laughs manically leaving the winged guy sitting there, seemingly not looking too happy about he situation.
Impressions:
Wow, things seem to defiantly be progressing a lot recently. The series is likely to be 24 or 26 episodes long so it seems that whatever they are getting into now will become the main conflict/focus for the climax and end of the series. There seem to be a lot of characters that will likely have a big role in the final show of things. It looks like the conflict could be between Hakuoro and dealing with Kunnekamun as they seem to be going on a rampage. What Kuuya said made me really think, how she said what can one man possibly do. Well, we haven’t seen much of Hakuoro’s beast form thing or what it really is for that matter, but it can likely do a lot. I have the feeling that Hakuoro may end up fighting against Kunnekamun just because they seem to be going insane with killing people. Although, he seems to have a good relationship with Kuuya so I wonder if she will be overthrown for trying to stop things because of Hakuoro or what but things in that area seem a little iffy.
Kamyu really surprised the hell out of me how she went all vampire like. I mean, wow. I always thought that Kamyu would have some important part in the end. Truthfully I’m not going to say it’s because of my genius insight, it’s because of the OP with her having a halo and screaming and there being a big explosion of power. That’s not to say I haven’t seen the clues of something like that leading up. Her having the black wings has always kind of been a red flag and lately we’ve been seeing more and more weird behavior from her, like her drinking a lot of water and not quenching her thirst, flying with a bunch of lights and talking to them, and not going all vampire on Aruruu. She defiantly seems like she will have a very important part near the very end of the series, I’m just not sure exactly what she will do. I had thought about maybe Hakuoro doing something and going all beast and Kamyu stopping him after he went all insane, but then I thought about Eruruu and it seems like that would be more a job for her, coaxing him back to normal after he is lost in rage and so on because of her feelings for him and so on. Either way Kamyu is sure to have some part that is important, just unsure of what.
Kuuya also really freaked me out in this episode. I had thought she was a peaceful person and so on but she went all crazy telling Hakuoro about her slaughtering people and the feeling she had. Then Hakuoro said that’s enough and she got al repentant saying how she isn’t used to this feeling and that maybe she feels bad about it. Also, the long haired person from Kunnekamun seemed to be thoroughly enjoying slaughtering people and said to Urutorii how they will keep on slaughtering people. He/she kind of gave me the impression however that there may be some internal conflict within the country if Kuuya ever decided to take advice form Hakuoro and try to stop the killing. And finally we have the unnamed winged guy. I don’t know what the hell is up with him. He was with Yue and he seemed to be the one in charge of making the men go all zombie- like, and now we see him again with Kunnekamun but when the long haired guy was talking to him he seemed a little distressed, like he didn’t want a part in what they were doing. He has been in this for so little but he is likely to be incredibly important because he is in it. I mean, not revealing much about him seems to make him more important because it shows there will be some mystery to him.
