Nana spends time with Yano, feeling more and more at ease with him as their relationship continues, and we see what happened in the past between Yano and Yuri.

Summary:

We start off hearing Nana talk about how she feels when she is with Yano, how she likes being with him the feel of him close to her. She then says the feel of his hand on her chest, wait a second! We see the two of them somewhere alone, Yano a bit on top of Nana and her holding him back. He says to let go and she says no, they then exchange a series of huh? to each other and Yano asks if he can’t. Nan says of course not and the two of them get up. Later, we see Nana alone on the bus on her way to a date with Yano. She says to herself she doesn’t know what’s going on, for a second she thought it might have been alright to let Yano, to be held tightly by him. Nana arrives where they are supposed to meet each other early and so she goes into the nearby jewelry shop. The employee behind the counter is extremely beautiful and Nana starts looking though things, trying on some rings. Yano arrive while Nana is trying on some rings, however when he sees the employee he kind of freezes up and looks shocked. We find out that she is Take’s older sister so Yano knows her. She says that if she is a friend of Take’s she can give them a discount Nana starts looking around some more and Take’s sister says to Yano how her girlfriend is cute, and seems like a good girl. She says she sorta looks like a baby. Nan asks Yano what he thinks of a certain ring and he sees Nana and compares her with Take’s sister, saying to himself how she does sort of look like a baby. Yano says no, maybe something more child…cute looking. Take’s sister shows them a ring that they just got in with some gems in flowers that is cute and nana loves it, however it’s too expensive. She says she will go look around and Take’s sister asks Yano if he’s going to buy it for her. He says of course and looks at the price tag and kind of freezes up, asking if he can pay in installments. He then asks if he can make a deferred payment and she sort of just looks at him. She sighs and says she will use her employee discount to get it for him, even though things like this are kind of against the rules. She tells him to bring all the money he has on hand tomorrow and she will have it for him. Yano thanks her and grabs Nana and goes off to get something to eat.

Yano and Nana are walking and nana says how beautiful and mature Ayaka looked, take’s sister. She then says she figured it out, why Take doesn’t have a girlfriend. She says he must have high stands because of how beautiful his sister is. Yano says anyways, and asks about how Nana said to Ayaka that take takes good care of her. Nana just says it’s a figure of speech and thinks to herself how she can’t’ believe it, Yano is jealous. The next day at school, Nan tells Take how she met his sister and she says that she is really a he. Nana just kind of goes, what? Take says how basically it’s his brother who dresses up as a woman. Nana can hardly believe it and says how he thought he had a sister compels or something. Take is just ashamed, saying for her to stop. She asks then why he doesn’t have a girlfriend and Take says how she is rather straightforward. His friend says that he is gay but he just ignores him and says he doesn’t know, he isn’t that popular. She asks if there is anyone he likes and we see just the two of them with the background faded and music plays and he just says no. we then see Yano alone in the classroom. He is sitting there when Yuri comes in. She heads over to her desk and gets her things, putting on a scarf. Yano sees this and his eyes widen and he flashes back. He and Yuri are in a classroom together and she puts on a scarf. Yuri tells him that it’s been six months and he hasn’t put any incense on her grave, and says how heartless he is. He sees the scarf asking isn’t that hers and Yuri just says its hers, Nana always borrowed her stuff. She just says that he shouldn’t act so cool, and says how Nana threw him out. Yano kind of snaps and pushes Yuri against he wall, holding onto her scarf almost choking her. He tells her not to act like she is so much better then him; both of you sisters are the worst. He just looks down and Yano kind of calms down. Yuri tells him not to group her with her sister. We then see the two of them outside. Yano takes her scarf and throws it in the fire and the two of them stand there, watching it burn.

That evening, Yano and Nana are together. Nan says how it’s getting harder and harder to be without Yano. Eventually she gets on the bus and heads home but Yano at the last minute jumps on with her saying he will take her home. Nana says how she is beginning to not be able to imagine a world without him, and wants to always stay by his side. The next day in school, Nana asks Yuri for some help with some sewing thing. After that they walk to their next class or whatever and Yuri is head of her and heads up the steps. Nana runs into Yano at the bottom of the steps and the two of them talk. Meanwhile Yuri is knocked into by some people coming down and starts to fall. Yano rushes and catches her, saving her. However this seems to spark another flashback. We see after Yuri told him not to group her with her sister, the two of them kissed. They then held hands after they burned the scarf. We then see just a shot of Yuri’s glasses, and Yano’s hand on Yuri’s back without clothes. Back in the present, Yuri just gets up and runs off. Nana says how his hand is scrapped so she takes him to the nurse’s office where he gets a band-aid. The tow of them sit on the bed and Yano just embraces Nana, and then sees the shot of his hand on Yuri’s back. Yano asks Nan to kiss him, and make it a long one. She is afraid that someone will come in and see them but gives in and says how whenever he kisses her, she seems to melt away. She thinks to herself that she can’t imagine a life without him, and wonders what she would do if the person she loved disappeared from her life, and on hearing this we see Yuri alone in the classroom, ending with the scene of Yuri and Yano holding hands from the flashback.

Impressions:

Whoa, there was a lot of development in this episode. The whole thing with Yuri was really interesting. It was also shocking, I had no idea there would be that much history or that kind of history between them. Although from near the beginning I had always thought that Yuri would play an important role and her history would be fairly deep because it had to do with Yano’s history which seemed to be a huge focus, but this was huge. First we saw that they kissed and then from what I got of a shot of his hand on her back with no clothes, that the two of them had sex. That is, enormous. It would explain a bit why Yuri hates Yano for whatever reason when he did leave her it’s because they were so close. It could be that he was just using her as a replacement for her sister or whatever and eventually they stopped she got pissed at him for using her like that. Although my guess is that it’s not in the least bit over. It seems that Yuri still has feelings of Yano, but hates him because he just used her feelings for them and dint’ return them, but just used her.

The other thing that seems like it could have the potential for further expansion in the future is Take. There was the whole deal with Nana talking to Take and why he doesn’t have a girlfriend and about his brother/sister. That still shocked me that basically his brother is a transvestite. Anyways, the question was brought up about why Take doesn’t’ have a girlfriend. Now, his friend said how he was gay but he didn’t seem to pay any attention to that so I don’t necessarily think that is the case. When Nana asked why he didn’t, the scene kind of shifted and it showed the two of them just standing there with the bubbles and everything and I got the impression that maybe take has feelings for Nana, but won’t do anything because of his friendship with Yano or whatever. Even if that’s not the case, there will likely be more focus on his character later on I think.

I think that there has to be some cheating to happen sometime in this series. I mean, there is already a history of sex between Yano and ex-girlfriend Nana, and Yuri, and he and Nana are pretty close. There is also the deal with Take. If he really does have some kind of feelings for Nana my guess is it wouldn’t bee too out there to see some scenario when either Nana or Yano either see some misunderstanding or learn some secret and they go to someone else out of devastation. The other one sees this and also sleeps with someone else because of feeling betrayed. For instance Nana could learn about Yano and Yuri’s past and console in Take. Yano could see this and feel devastated thinking Nana is cheating on him so goes back to Yuri. There are many possibilities and from the looks of where this series is going I think we will see a lot more drama in it.
