Nana gets used to being with Yano and tries to find out exactly what their relationship is, while learning a bit more about him.

Summary:

We start off seeing Nana in bed, thinking about the big thing that just happened, how she can’t believe it, and wonders what she will do now, and what will happen. The next morning at school, Nan didn’t get any sleep and looks terrible, being a zombie throughout the day. She says to herself how she stayed up all night thinki9ng about how she should approach Yano. Just then Yano walks by and all he says is good morning and walks off with a friend to class. She worries that she wont’ be able to look him in the face, and that things are going to be different now. Before class Nana is sitting in her seat when approached by her friend Mizu. She asks her, looking scary and kind of angry if it’s true she kissed Yano. She then says its unforgivable she didn’t tell them and she guesses that she saw them. At lunch she is sitting with them and Mizu asks her if the two of them are going steady. Nana says she doesn’t know, and thanks to herself she doesn’t really know, Yano hasn’t said anything to her. Later, Nana is by herself still thinking about what to do, how Yano hasn’t’ contacted her or anything. Just then Yano comes up and startles her. He tries to tell her the dates for some student council meetings and since she is out of it he makes her repeat after him. She keeps screwing it up and he adds in there Movie, 4 o’clock. She repeats it all and Yano heads away and Nana then realizes the movie bit was him asking her out. She looks back at him and he just smiles to her. She feels relieved, last night wasn’t just some mistake or anything, she feel like she can finally rest. Nana falls asleep thinking about the upcoming date. When she wakes up she finds that it is way past time for the committee meeting, that she missed it. She also looks at the time and sees that its 20 past four and starts to freak out but Yano come sin saying how she is finally awake, he had to step in for her for the meeting. Nana is shocked that he did something, he is usually the lazy person and so on but he did this for her. Yano asks if she is still able to go to the movie and Nana just smiles from looking down for missing the meeting.

The two of hem head out for their date at the movies. Nana stops saying how she isn’t sure if she has enough money but Yano says its fine he will pay for her but she insists on paying him back. Then on the bus ride to the movies Yano offers Nana the only available seat and stands himself and nana feels uncomfortable and stands with him. She thinks to herself maybe she is trying too hard, she should just be herself. They get to the movie and Yano buys her a drink and again she frets over dong the right thing, and tells herself she is overdoing it and to be herself. They watch the movie together and Nana is completely engrossed in it. Yano rests his arm on the armrest but throughout the entire movie he left half for Nana. She sees this and eventually they share it, holding hands until the movie is over. After the movie the two of them go out to eat. Nana thinks to herself how Yano seems like a different person almost, the way he acts, and talks. Eventually after talking some more Nana asks Yano why he is being so nice to her. She says how normally he is bullying her and teasing her and so on, it’s like he is a different person. Yano says that he isn’t’ a different person, she is. That her the classmate is different person to him then her his girlfriend, or something along those lines. The next day the two of them are sitting on a bench arguing over some petty things and enjoying each other, like what eggs go better with: soy sauce or Worchester sauce. Take and another one of Yano’s friends comes up and greets them. After talking for a bit Yano and Nana head off and the one guy says that Yano is searching and Take says it’s like déjà vu.

Nana and Yano are walking together and we find out that Yano gets a lot of money from his parents but Nana doesn’t get much. They hold hands as they walk and Nan thinks to herself how whenever they hold hands her hear beats faster. She asks him what he wants for a Christmas present and he just says her. She thinks to herself how he knows she doesn’t get much money so is being kind. The next day in school Nan overhears people talking and they say how they can’t believe he is with “her”, talking about Nana behind her back. They say how it’s even worse because she is ugly. Nana kind of feels bad about this but Mizu just says they are jealous. Nana and Yano walk home together and they sit down on a bench. Nana ask if she is ugly and Yano says how she isn’t’, just different, and gives her rather frank answers. He says how he thinks she is cute. Nana asks him again what he wants for a Christmas present and Yano just says he wants her to promise him something. He wants her to promise to always be with him and never to betray him. He says to be honest; he never thought he would go out with anybody again. Nana just stands there with him thinking about him and the two of them embrace each other in the falling snow.

Impressions:

I thought what Take and Yano’s other friend aid was extremely interesting and will likely be a deeper focus or tone for this series. The line, “He’s searching.” And “It’s like déjà vu.” Were interesting because it showed some possibility how he may be, unbeknownst to him maybe, using Nana to get over…Nana (who’s the idiot who named both of them the same) especially the, “he’s Searching” line shows that he is just looking for something to replace the old Nana, so this could bring forth some problems.

It defiantly seems to be an ongoing themes of betrayal in this show. We haven’t really seen any between Yano and Nana, but we might or either that some betrayal in Yano’s past may have some affect on the relationship him and Nana have now. This is defiantly getting to be interesting, having a lot more deeper roots in feelings and peoples pasts then I had first guessed. The line at the end of this episode that Nana said really summarizes how this show has been so far and where it is going, “It’s as if the puzzle is little by little getting deeper.”
