Its Christmas time and Eri and Harima both get roped into doing the same job together decorating a huge tree. Also, Akira has set a trap for Sarah, Yakumo, and Tenma but gets caught in it herself as well.

Summary:
We start off seeing Eri talking with Mikoto. They talk though some stuffed animals, Mikoto asking Eri what her night was like that she spent with Harima. Eri is mad at her for not telling her that the worker was Harima. Mikoto just says that if Eri knew she was under same roof as him she couldn’t take it, and it’s her fault for not recognizing him. Mikoto asks what she did with him and she tries to say nothing she just spent the night with him in an empty temple and Mikoto kind of teases that they did something but Eri yells they didn’t, they just shared a blanket, but Mikoto reacts to this in a big way making Eri embarrassed. She says seriously though if she did anything and Eri said no so Mikoto gets on her phone and calls Akira saying she was wrong, Eri didn’t confess so Akira wins the bet, Eri didn’t do anything and Eri flips out that they are betting on her. Akira comes in the room now still talking with Mikoto via cell phone saying how they didn’t even kiss, it’s a shame and Eri just kind of falls to the floor giving up. Akira then says to Eri how she needs to repay Mikoto’s kindness. That her family gets a lot of requests for work around this time since it’s nearing Christmas so there’s a job for her to do. The next day Eri shows up at the site of a huge Christmas tree with scaffolding around it, the job being decorating it. She sees amongst the workers Harima and the two of them see each other and yell, asking why the other one is here. They were apparently set up by Mikoto and Akira. They go about their work, Eri trying to avoid Harima. Eri gets a lot of her work done for her because she is a girl and is hot so at lunch time Eri asks to sit by Harima and says how this is easier then she thought. Harima kind of ignores her and they both try to avoid the subject that they spent the night together. Eri gets mad at Harima because he acts like he wanted to say something but doesn’t, so Eri leaves. Eri then runs into Tenma who is at the job site waiting for someone. The two of them talk while Harima sees Tenma here saying how she will get another misunderstanding if she sees him and Eri were talking. Eri and Tenma talk and Eri says how Harima is here too and says he is the worst, still being angry at him. Tenma says how she agrees referring to when he was spending the night but Eri says she is wrong and starts defending Harima saying he isn’t’ that kind of person. Harima hears this, wondering why Eri is defending him and Tenma kind of agrees that maybe she jumped to conclusions.
Meanwhile we see Sarah arrive at the tea clubroom because of a call she got from Akira. Akira says there is a present in one of the rooms upstairs so Sarah goes up and sees in one of the rooms some big black thing half sticking out of the floor. She wonders if this is it and starts to walk forward but the floor breaks under her and she gets stuck, half sticking up in the floor. She tries to get out but can’t and just then Yakumo arrives, apparently from getting the same call from Akira. Yakumo wonders what Sarah is doing and walks forward, but gets stuck as well. They then both get a call from Akira saying that this is her challenge to them. They call her back and hear her phone ringing and they find out the big black thing stuck in the floor in front of them is Akira in a big penguin costume, stuck as well. Yakumo calls Tenma to try and help them get out and eventually she arrives but she gets tuck as well. Sarah tells Yakumo to try and contact “him” as if he senses she is in danger he will come. Yakumo concentrates but says nothing is happening, and then finds out the others were referring to Hanai and apparently she was thinking of some other guy. They all say how hopeless it is and then Akira says no one has asked her why she is in a penguin suit. She unzips it and stands up, being able to be free since she was in the suit. She says how she will not take pictures of them in embarrassing poses but walks forward too much and gets tuck again. Akira then says their only hope for someone to save them is that if someone on the bottom floor is there. Tenma says ho no one would be in school during the vacation but Akira said if someone had to work on a 120 page script but can’t get into his house and was kicked out of a friend’s house then forced to help someone with their engagement, they may come here to work. Tenma says how that is impossible but Yakumo kind of guesses that she means Harima but keeps it to herself. Then all of a sudden at the doorway someone in a Santa suit arrives. He takes a plastic bouncy hammer and bobs everyone down to the next floor where they fall on a mattress he left there. They say how thankfully they are safe and wonder who that Santa person is, but just forget about it.
We see the three kind-of pervert boys sitting around a table saying how it’s close to Christmas and they need to gets some girls. They see Harry and Tougo sitting together seeing how Harry gets all the girls. Two of the guys say to just give up but Nishimoto says that they can’t give up, they are men. Tougo comes over saying exactly, they can’t give up. He tells them about a party he is having which Harry and a lot of girls will be at, if they can prove they are men he will let them in. The boys try all sorts of things acting like Harry to try and get in but can’t get anything to work. Then one of them says to drop it, just be themselves and Tougo appears saying exactly, real men make their own paths. The boys go to the party where a lot of girls are but when Harry has to leave, all the girls do as well so they are left there alone with just Tougo, themselves, and Lala who is eating everything in site. Tougo says how it is still a dance party so all the guys dance with each other.
Impressions:
One thing that surprised me the most in this episode dealt with Harima and Yakumo. When Yakumo was stuck and everyone was telling her to contact “him” they were referring to Hanai but Yakumo tried telepathically contacting “him” but was thinking of someone besides Hanai, which really only leaves Harima. So this may show that Yakumo has more feelings for Harima then was previously shown, even if she herself doesn’t recognize them. The other major relationship thing in this episode was again Eri and Harima, which they seem to be showing a lot so we may get even more advancement that way. Although Harima still seems completely obsessed with Tenma and in that fact I don’t think anything will happen so again I’m going to stick to my statement of nothing will happen at the end of this series. As in, it will be open-ended, this is not a romance anime it is a comedy that uses romance and the misunderstandings to fuel the comedy. We may get more advancement but I don’t think Harima will concretely end up with everything, if not for just the fact even though Yakumo and Eri seem to be choices, he is too fixated on Tenma and Tenma is too fixated on Karasuma.
Although I like when shows go into some detail or show some side characters in their own thing, the whole deal with the three guys they showed at the end of this episode is kind of getting old. Its not as funny as the rest of the show because it doesn’t feature the character you know about and its not like these three have anything distinctive like the other characters to make it better,. Although it is still funny in a way, not in the same way as the rest of the show which is what the main thing that makes this show good. I loved when Mikoto was asking Eri about the night she spent with Harima and it turned out she had a bet with Akira about it. Also Akira, Sarah, Yakumo, and Tenma being trapped in the floor was hilarious too, especially Tenma’s rendition of what their future would be like.
