Hakuoro talks with Kuuya, the young emperor who called him out and he deals with the peaceful life while he can.

Summary:
We start off with Hakuoro standing in front of a masked person. She introduces herself as the emperor Kuuya, and says she wants to talk with Hakuoro as he is a very interesting man. Kuuya says how she has heard all about Hakuoro, how he raised from nothing, started a rebellion, overthrew the royal family, became emperor, and then defeated Shikeripetim. She asks how he managed such feats and he said he just made the decisions he thought were right. Kuuya is amazed that he didn’t use any powers or anything. She said how she assumed he was blessed by some god like her tribe was. Hakuoro says he isn’t familiar with the god’s name and Kuuya is surprised. Hakuoro mentions another god but Kuuya gets angry saying to not mention that name. That that god overthrew the god she worships or something. They talk for a while more but then Genjimaru tells Kuuya that it is time to go back. She says she will talk with him again, that Genjimaru will pick him up.
The next day Hakuoro is sitting with Eruruu as she makes some medicine. Oboro comes in the room seemingly in pain, surprised that Hakuoro is there. He asks Eruruu if the thing he asked for is done. She says almost and finishes mixing some medicine and gives it to him. When Hakuoro says he doesn’t seem like he is well Oboro says it’s because of those two, looking back at the archery twins. He flashes back to the night before where he drank a lot with the two of them and then ended up in bed with them (so I guess they are female…hopefully) Eruruu finishes the medicine and gives it to Oboro. When it tastes bad Eruruu apologizes and tries to make it better but only makes it worse. Eruruu gets really depressed saying how she isn’t a good physician. Hakuoro kind of glares at him telling him to drink it even if it kills him. Hakuoro takes a walk through the village inside the castle walls when he runs into Karura. She kind of flirts with him asking if he wants to drink. Hakuoro says it’s the afternoon and she says she already seems drunk but Karura says she is no where close to being drunk. Touka comes running up saying how Hakuoro shouldn’t’ be out here without her as an escort but Hakuoro just says there is nothing to worry about. Back at the castle Hakuoro sits before the merchant who says he has something new for him. He opens his basket to reveal a rabbit cat creature called a Mikyuum. Soon everyone such as Eruruu and Kamyu are gathered around. They all say how incredibly cute it is and just fawn over it. Hakuoro says they already have a large pet, referring to Mukuru, and says they don’t’ need it even if it is rare, much to all the girls’ disappointment and objection. The merchant then mentions that their livers can make a medicine that can cure everything and Oboro jumps up, serious, saying they will take it, that it can cure Yuzuha. The Mikyuum can sense danger though and runs away as Oboro chases after it. We see Aruruu and Yuzuha sitting against Mukuru. The Mikyuum approaches them and they play with it, Aruruu thoroughly enjoying it. Oboro arrives and asks for them to hand him over. Aruruu says no but Oboro says how they can make a medicine fore her. She says she doesn’t want to get better that way though and Hakuoro comes up and tells Oboro that he has lost. Aruruu has named the cat thing and the merchant says that whoever names a Mikyuum, the Mikyuum treats as its master so it’s like they bought it. They pay some outrageous price for it.
That night Hakuoro goes out again escorted by Genjimaru to talk with Kuuya. Kuuya asks Hakuoro about himself. He asks how many wives he has and he says none. She says however that without an heir it could jeopardize his country but he says still, he is single. She says if he loves someone he shouldn’t’ hesitate. She then asks why he wears that mask and he says he has tried several times but can’t get it to come off. She tries to pull it but can’t get it and Hakuoro mentions how she too hides her face. He takes off her mask to reveal she is a woman which Hakuoro didn’t know till now. They continue to talk about Kuuya’s tribe and how it’s hard for her to lead it just a girl. How her people were those who followed her god even after it was overthrown. They talk a bit more and she apologizes for takings o much, around him she just feels like telling everything. She heads off and Hakuoro thinks about what she said overlooking the forest. We see a huge thing moving through, knocking down trees as it makes its way through the forest.
Impressions:
I loved this episode, again it followed the theme of being mostly comedy and light for the most part, however it seems like these episodes will start to die down so we may not see them. They finally introduced the little cat thing they showed from the credits. The one guy said how they are really rare but Hakuoro say one of them just running through the forest in one episode. In the episode he first met Kamyu, he was watching her fly over the water, heard rustling, looked and sees the animal, and then when he looked back Kamyu was gone so I didn’t think they would be that rare. Aruruu with the cat thing was extremely cute. The best part about this episode however was Touka. Her reaction to the cat rabbit was just priceless how she actually became all feminine and talked all cute like, it was awesome.
There was one thing that really had me wondering that Kuuya was talking about. She mentioned the two gods and how one of them was the one she worshiped and believed to be the true one, and there was another that Hakuoro seemed to know about which Kuuya called a false god that overthrew the one she believed in. What had me wondering if Hakuoro could possibly be the god that overthrew the other one. We know he is some sort of huge powerful thing and that’s one possibility because they seemed to dwell on that fact for a while so it seemed important. The one other thing that was brought up by Kuuya was the whole love interest. Kuuya mentioned how if he loves someone he shouldn’t hesitate s that bring up how the relationship between him and Eruruu will play out, but also bring sup that maybe she will play some part and make her jealous.
It seems as next episode will deal with Karura, which is nice. She did seem to have the most inte4resting and mysterious past besides from Hakuoro, so this will hopefully shine some light on it. Unsure of whether the next one or two episodes will be all though, It could turn out something like she leaves for a while, really unsure but defiantly seems to be going into a small Karura arc. The other thing that was a bit surprising was at the end of this episode we saw some huge thing moving through the forest, and that’s it. It seems odd to only show us that so it seems like it will be maybe something that appears after the whole Karura thing and after they deal with the next couple episodes, unsure as to what it could be though.

I really do hope the archer twins are really girls. And I just loved how Touka reacted to the cat rabbit.
damn hakuroro is such a boring person.. i hope kaura doesnt have to go away..
Touka looked like a crack addict who needed a hit.
Normally, this would creep me out. But it’s Touka, LOL.
Indeed, Touka looked just completly different. It was mainly just so surprising, but also cute because like you said its her.
