We get a big confrontation between Tusukuru and Kuccha Keccha as Hakuoro learns from Orikaken about who he thinks he is and Hakuoro finds out the truth behind why Kuccha Keccha attacked.

Summary:
We start off seeing the Kuccha Keccha camp, and Touka standing guard, obviously being fine from her fall. She vows that she won’t let them escape again. We see back at the castle, some unrest amongst the people about there being an Evinkuruga in the enemy ranks. That an Evinkuruga fights for good, so why is she fighting them. We see Eruruu taking Hakuoro some food and drinks while he works busily in his room. Hakuoro seems to be drinking too much and Eruruu tells him he should stop. Hakuoro wonders about if he had a mother or a father would they scold him and tell him to do things like Eruruu is. He wonders about not knowing his family and asks who exactly he is. Eruruu just holds his hand and says that he is Hakuoro. Eruruu gets embarrassed and pulls away but Hakuoro grabs her and pulls her closer, asking “Aren’t you afraid of me?” He lets Eruruu go and apologizes and as Eruruu walks away she comes back and hugs him from behind saying she will never be afraid of him, she will always be with him. The next morning Hakuoro, Eruruu and Aruruu are out in a field somewhere, Aruruu playing innocently with Mukuru. As Hakuoro and Eruruu watch this Hakuoro asks Eruruu why she always supports him. She says it’s because as he said, they are family. Aruruu then comes over and Hakuoro plays with her and Mukuru while Eruruu happily watches Hakuoro having fun. Eventually they head back to the castle.
About when they arrive there is news that the enemy is approaching so Hakuoro gets an army ready and heads out to confront them. The army marches out and eventually they encounter the enemy army and the battle. Touka and Orikaken had straight for Hakuoro. However Kurou and others intervene to stop Touka’s advance and Orikaken just heads after him himself. As the battle continues, and Benawi, Oboro, Kurou, and Karura have Touka surrounded, Orikaken and Hakuoro ride alongside fighting. Touka calls them all cheaters for surrounding her and ganging up on her and Kurou says she is right, but they all hold their ground. Touka charges in the direction Hakuoro went and Karura tries to stop her but misses her one swing and Touka just continues running past. Eventually Hakuoro is knocked off his lizard thing. Hakuoro says that he dragged him out here so they could talk. Orikaken basically says enough and attacks him but Hakuoro dodges and pulls Orikaken off and holds his weapon up to his head. Orikaken just ask him how he is feeling, after killing his family and such. Hakuoro says he isn’t Rak Shine but Orikaken says even if his memory is gone, his sins aren’t, his hands will remain bloodstained. Hakuoro looks at himself and kind of freaks out as he sees a dark aura growing around him. He stands up asking what is this, if these are his sins and Orikaken gets up and looks at him win horror as he sees a monstrous beast form around him. It vanishes and Hakuoro asks what he saw in him. Orikaken just yells at him to get away and starts to run but an arrow flies through his neck from above. Hakuoro looks up and sees the leader of Shikeripetim standing above. He says how he used that man to provoke Hakuoro, so he could see the beast inside him. He tells him to remember his anger and hate (he must be a Sith) as he is saying all this Touka arrives and hears everything. The man just rides away, leaving Hakuoro there and Touka standing in disbelief of being fooled.
Impressions:
Ok, so…he was being framed? I’m a little confused because it’s almost as if they showed both possibilities. The Shikeripetim leader guy said he used Orikaken to unleash Hakuoro’s anger because he wants to see the beast inside him. Now, does that mean that Hakuoro never was Rak Shine, but he does have some evil beast creature potential that the Shikeripetim leader knows about? The Shikeripetim leader said he wanted to see the beast inside him, and when Hakuoro was kind of freaking out there was the outline of some monster so that means obviously there is something to his past and apparently the Shikeripetim guy knows about it, but he just wasn’t Rak Shine I think.
Well it seems fairly certain at this point that Touka will join with Hakuoro and all. After all she was working for Orikaken under the assumption that Hakuoro was evil but now has found out she was secretly working for an evil guy against a supposedly good guy so she defiantly seems the kind that won’t just let that go. She seems to be one of the best fighters, although Karura seems to be top. Haven’t seen her fight Benawi so can’t compare her to him, but probably one of the top three so she will defiantly come in handy.
With probably Touka joining we seem to be going into a Shikeripetim arc and hopefully we will conclude that. The one thing that they are sure to elaborate on and that may serve to be even more important then Shikeripetim itself is the fact that they too have a winged person with them, even though they are supposedly evil so is it an evil winged guy or does the winged guy think he is doing the right thing and all, perhaps he is even the one who is actually in charge.
We got some nice Eruruu and Hakuoro moments in this episode. It was nice seeing the small time of peace and relaxation he had with Aruruu, showing that he wasn’t completely losing himself in being emperor. Not only the whole him playing with Aruruu and Mukuru while Eruruu watched, but we got the whole thing between them where Eruruu said she will never be afraid of him, as she hugged him from behind. I thought that moment was awesome, the whole thing Hakuoro was going through with his identity and Eruruu saying it doesn’t matter who he was, he will always be Hakuoro to her.
