A new foe attacks the village Eruruu came from and Hakuoro launches an attack against them after he hears about the devastation they caused.

Summary:
We start off seeing the village from earlier on in the series. Everyday life seems to be going fine. We then go to Hakuoro talking with Urutorii. She says everything is going fine for the preparations of some unification between them and some other nations so it will be harder for others to attack them. Later, we see the ceremony lead by Urutorii and Hakuoro and other leaders are about to stamp an agreement when there is a big commotion outside. Teoro comes running in saying to Hakuoro how there is an emergency. Someone attacked the village and the enemy is currently outside the castle walls. Everyone runs outside and Teoro says he will stay behind because he is a little tired. Outside the mansion, still within the castle walls Hakuoro and everyone gather to hear the guards form the fence yelling about how the enemy is approaching. Hakuoro lets them into the castle and they spring forth a kind of trap to stop their movement but they still keep fighting and the enemy force eventually gets completely wiped out as they fight to the death and don’t retreat. Meanwhile we see Teoro inside, sitting against a column dripping blood. He says how he is sleepy and he sees a vision of his family and some people from the village. He eventually dies, leaving a pool of blood. Back outside, after the enemy has been completely wiped out one of the barley alive soldiers says before he finally dies that they won’t give up, that Hakuoro’s pain will be their motivation. Hakuoro kind of as himself and those around him why the enemy didn’t retreat after they had faced a certain defeat, did they have something they needed to fight for that badly he asked.
Inside, Teoro lies in bed with everyone surrounding him, looking incredibly sad. Everyone seems to know that he is dead except for Aruruu who innocently tries to wake him up. Hakuoro wonders why he didn’t’ tell them about his injury but Urutorii tells him not to worry, it’s not his fault. Kurou arrives and says he has details from their scouting out the village. Hakuoro tells him to tell him the news and he reluctantly says the whole village was razed to the ground, no survivors. Eruruu who is there is just devastated by this news. Aruruu innocently tries to wake up Teoro some more and Hakuoro tells her to stop, that he wont wake up, that he went to where Tusukuru is along with everyone. Aruruu won’t stop trying to wake him up, crying desperately for him to wake up as she is in tears. Eruruu finally puts her to sleep with some chloroform like drug saying that this way the sadness won’t destroy her heart. Eruruu herself seems completely shattered by this news and Hakuoro brings up the rag to Eruruu as well, putting her to sleep for now. Later, Hakuoro is talking with Oboro and Benawi. Oboro is asking for the order to attack the bastards that did this. Hakuoro says they can’t do that yet, and Oboro yells at him how he can think like that. Hakuoro seems to be struggling with the decision himself but actually yells at Oboro to shut up and go through with his order of not attacking. At night, he is walking alone through the mansion when he runs into Karura who asks him if he wants to have a drink with her. He sits down with her and talks about what’s happened, and wonders why the people didn’t retreat when defeat was inevitable for them or their movement was shut off. Karura says those soldiers were already dead. She says they had already accepted death so they would carry out their mission no matter what, that it was more important then their lives. She says that Hakuoro must have done something to piss them off but Hakuoro says he doesn’t know, and tells her how he has no memory of himself before Eruruu found him. After his talk he goes to se Eruruu sleeping. He puts more blankets on her and she grabs onto his hand and holds it as she sleeps.
The next day Urutorii tells Hakuoro how many nations have gone back on the unification thing due to the recent attack and all. They are then interrupted when a messenger that was sent to the attacking nation, Kuccha Keccha, returns injured. He is barley able to tell them due to injuries that all the messengers were attacked and killed except for him who managed to make it out. He then dies and Hakuoro gets kind of pissed and years they are going to war. Their army marches out to face Kuccha Keccha. One the way, for some reason that makes no logical sense to me, Eruruu and Aruruu are there with him. Aruruu mentions how Hakuoro, or daddy, is scary and she doesn’t like him like this. Mukuru then stops sensing danger and everyone else does. Then from all around them the enemy attacks, having them surrounded. They go into a long battle and eventually one woman shows up who just tore apart the soldiers. She says her name is Touka and on behalf of Kuccha Keccha she will kill you, and points to Hakuoro, calling him the villain Rak Shine. She runs forth and attacks but Karura blocks for him easily. Then another man shows up calling Hakuoro, again, Rak Shine and says how he is surprised he is sill alive after all the men who are after him. He then calls him his brother-in-law, the traitor.
Impressions:
Ok, now either this is all a big misunderstanding and Hakuoro is being wrongfully thought of as Rak Shine and/or being framed as Rak Shine or Rak Shine was who he was before he lost his memory and was found by Eruruu. My first thought and guess is that Rak Shine is Hakuoro, that before he was found by Eruruu he was known as Rak Shine and obviously did some pretty terrible things because the man at the end said that many men were after him, and they even said that the men who first attacked wanted to harm him so much that they had already accepted death. We get a bit of confirmation on this because back when he killed the former emperors brother, in his mind flashed the bodies of many dead soldiers, perhaps from when he had killed them and was Rak Shine. Also there were the flashes and images of monstrous teeth and that could be because he was some kind of monster or could turn into some kind of monster that killed countless people.
Although it is a possibility, though not one that I really believe in, that he is either being framed as Rak Shine or they are just wrong and it’s a misunderstanding. Although it seems a kind of hard thing to just be mistaken about, after all they went really far against him and all and they even saw him and still called him Rak Shine. If he is being framed as being it then it kind of makes me wonder about the guy who called him a brother-in-law which means he was married and also who would be behind it all. Again I don’t really think this is a possibility but, eh, maybe.
Besides from the battles and major storyline advancement, this was a really sad episode. Not only did Teoro die and all but the entire village that Eruruu and Aruruu came from, and the one that Hakuoro remembers as being his first home was completely destroyed, everyone dead. Just seeing Aruruu cry was heart wrenching, how she is so innocent and kept shaking Teoro to wake up even though he was dead. I don’t think Aruruu even grasps that everyone from her home is dead, it was just enough it seemed like for Teoro to be dead to send her into tears. Eruruu seemed pretty shook by all this too; it was her home as well that is now completely destroyed. Although there was a nice small moment between Hakuoro and Eruruu when he went to her in her sleep and she held onto his hand, still all in all that part of this episode was incredibly sad.
