We see a hotpot party with everyone at Mikoto’s house, Nishimoto giving away his “special” videos, and Sara’s day as a sister at the church.

Summary:
We start off seeing a hotpot party at Mikoto’s house, with lots of tables outside and almost everyone there. We see Tenma and Yakumo there, even though Yakumo is a little shy about being there disturbing everyone. Tem says it’s okay as long as everyone brings their own ingredients. Tenma then suddenly remembers she forgot the meant and Harima is there and gives her some expensive premium grade beef. We then see Imadori, Togo, Lala, and Ichijou all at a pot together, even though Imadori isn’t too happy about being with Lala as she has destroyed his stuff countless times. Ichijou asks what everyone brought. She says she brought vegetables and then someone just throws them in much to her shock. Togo then says he brought some extremely spicy peppers from Mexico and dumps them in even though much to Ichijou’s horror she tries to tell everyone you can’t just throw things in. Lala then throws in leftover fast food burgers and fries even more to Ichijou’s complete horror. The pot looks absolutely horrible, all black and bubbling and Tenma cones over and says she wants a taste. She and Lala taste it and they say it’s delicious but when Togo and Imadori taste it they nearly drop dead and say it’s horrible. Hanai comes over to Yakumo’s table and tries to get her to eat some of the stuff he made. He tries to feed it to her even though she doesn’t really want it. We then see Imadori trying to sabotage the next pot that they make to get back at Lala for destroying his shoes. He puts a shoelace in there but ends up having to eat it himself. The hotpot party is then ended when Harima’s pig shows up and Tenma starts talking about pig soup and the pig ends up running everywhere and messing everything up.
We then see a small earthquake one night and the next day at school Nishimoto comes into class with a broken arm and a head injury. His friends ask if it’s from the earthquake and he says it was. During the earth quake his bookshelves of “special” videos were about to fall over so he tried to hold them up but eventually they fell on him. A girl comes over and says whatever fell must not have been properly organized, that he should just put what he needs in a box and give the rest away. When she offers to help he says they aren’t something a girl should help out with and she figures out what they are talking about and runs away calling him a pervert. After school, he piles all his videos into piles and he has hundreds of them. He calls over guys from his class to come take some for free and we see him showing a few to Imadori and other guys as he gives them away. Eventually he is down to his last dozen or so when Hanai comes by. Nishimoto says he didn’t invite him but Hanai says he just wants to help, not actually knowing what’s going on. When Hanai finds out he takes all of Nishimoto’s tapes saying he shouldn’t’ have these and he is confiscating them. He takes them all in a giant bag. Eventually he runs into Yakumo and because his mind is on what he is carrying and the kinds of stuff it is, Yakumo senses that kind of perverted aura about him and runs off.
We see Sara, Yakumo’s friend, in the church as her job as a sister listening to confessions. Hanai comes in and confesses about the incident with Yakumo and Sara says that it will all be all right and is able to guess just from the situation that it is Hanai. Someone then comes in and confesses that they love one of their classmates and if they win their next soccer match they will confess to her. Sara kind of spaces out and thinks about how many love problems there are recently and how she doesn’t quite know how to deal with them. The next day someone, not the same guy from confession, gives Sara a love letter much to her surprise. At tea club when she brings up the subject much to Akira’s surprise she asks what she should do. How she doesn’t know how to help people with love problems when she doesn’t know much about it herself. After school she sees a soccer game going and watches it for a while. She doesn’t know who it was who made the confession but she sees someone doing really well and people cheering for him and kind of guesses its him. He almost makes a goal but is stopped and they loose the game, and Sara can tell that the guy is really depressed by it. She then sees a girl run away from the stands, tears flowing. That night the same guy comes to confession saying he lost the match. Sara says that if he tried his best it should be enough but he says no, he will wait for next match to confess. He then leaves and Sara this time is able to yell out to him good luck.
Impressions:
This is a fairly normal episode. One thing they had again in this episode that will probably be a lot more in the series then it was last season are these side stories. Last season most of the show consisted of dealing with Harima and Tenma but here we got two side stories one that dealt with Nishimoto and the other with Sara. Which I’m not saying is bad in any way; it gives more of a feel for the characters that way and makes some previously unimportant characters more important.
I liked the hotpot bit. Not just because it had one of my favorite characters Ichijou in it, but with almost all of the characters or quite a few of them it was nice to see them all interact although a lot didn’t really get included even though they were there. I felt so sorry for my Ichijou when everyone was just pouring things into the pot and she desperately tried to tell them that’s not how it works. Harima meeting Yakumo after confiscating all of the videos was hilarious too. How Yakumo sensed that kind of aura off him and got the wrong idea and ran off.

It was Hanai, not Harima.
