Peorth competes with the other goddess to see who is the best and then tries to seduce Keiichi with a potion when things backfire.

Summary:

We start off with Keiichi waking up to Peorth trying to seduce him. Skuld enters the room because of the noise and flips out seeing the two of them like that, even though Keiichi is just trying to push her away. Peorth just stops Skuld from trying to blow them up saying that Skuld can’t do anything to a first class goddess such as her. As she walks away she runs into Urd who tells her again its hopeless to d anything but Peorth again just insults Urd saying she doesn’t have time to deal with a second class goddess like her. Keiichi gets ready to go to school when approached by Peorth. Before Peorth can do much, Skuld and Urd come in, pissed at being insulted. They challenge her to a contest to see who the better goddess is and Keiichi will be the judge. Keiichi says he doesn’t have time for this and says he has to get going. They decide the contest begins now and they all try to teleport him to the university using their various methods. They end up teleporting him on top of a statue and since it is broken and put together with glue it breaks from his weight and he falls into the freezing water. Keiichi is sitting on a bench, cold and the three goddesses decide to try and war him up. From Urd, sweaters fly off people and all swarm to him, piling up around him. From Skuld, he is wrapped in a plastic like thing to keep him warm and from Peorth he is shone down upon by a ray of light that warms him. After all that, Hasegawa who was there brings him something warm and when the wind blows up her skirt Keiichi gets embarrassed. Seeing this, the goddess try to turn Keiichi into the wind so he can do stuff like that but they screw up and Keiichi s turned into a kind of tornado and has the danger of disappearing into wind forever. Belldandy senses something and comes to the rescue, able to extract Keiichi from all this other air and wind and brings him back to normal, much to Peorth’s surprise.

Peorth decides that she needs to work at splitting Belldandy and Keiichi up if she is ever going to win over Belldandy. She finds some medicine in Urd’s room and tries to modify it with magic, turning it into something that if Keiichi takes it, when he sees her he will fall passionately in love with her. On her way out, she runs into Belldandy and insults her, saying she is different and better then her. That, unlike her, she is trying to fulfill Keiichi’s wish. Peorth gives the drug to Keiichi in some drink and he falls asleep. Peorth puts him against a tree and waits for him to wake up, to see Peorth fist thing and fall in love. Urd comes along and Peorth grabs her and pulls her away from there so her plan isn’t screwed up. While away Megumi drops by and wakes Keiichi up because he shouldn’t be sleeping outside. Keiichi wake sup and instead of him falling in love, Megumi falls in love and tries to get Keiichi. Keiichi freaks out and runs away when he runs into Skuld who does the same thing, fall passionately in love with him. Peorth arrives, and she too falls in love. Keiichi now has Megumi, Peorth, and Skuld fawning over him, trying to get him as their own saying they will do anything for him. Urd comes along and eventually, she knows what’s going on and tries to avoid it, she too falls in love. Keiichi is trying desperately to struggle away from them all, as they start fighting each other for him. He sees Belldandy and tells her not to look at his face; he doesn’t want her to fall under the spell. He runs away but Belldandy catches up to him. She grabs him and says she wants to be with him, not as a goddess duty but on her own free will. She says how she may not be able to fulfill his every wish, but even then will he accept her. He says yes and looks at her and the spell has no effect. Belldandy then hugs Keiichi tightly and in a burst of power the spell wears off of everyone. Everything settles down and Urd confronts Peorth about taking the stuff from her room. Urd drugs her and makes her fall passionately in love with a statue outside, as Belldandy rests in her room from using so much power.

Impressions:

Wow, Peorth is such a bitch. I don’t know why exactly Peorth hates Belldandy and calls her a hypocrite, but se kept saying things to her over and over again about how she wasn’t good enough. If she was truly just there to fulfill Keiichi’s wish she wouldn’t have to say that. Ok, some of it is to try and break them up so she can get the wish but it seemed like most of it was just putting her down, saying if she really cared about him and was a good goddess she would have fulfilled his wish already. Although, she kind of already is because as Keiichi said his wish is to be with her so I don’t see how Peorth doesn’t get that, as they have told her about that wish and all. Also, I get where Keiichi was going when he said I haven’t had a single painful experience since she came and all, but that’s simply not true. I believe that he doesn’t care about that pain and stuff like that, since he is with her but it’s a flat out lie to say he hasn’t experienced any pain, that’s what half of the series is about. I was kind of surprised Peorth is still around at the end of this episode and seems like she will be in the next episode. Although, she has already kind of sparked the whole “my wish is already fulfilled being with you” thing between Keiichi and Belldandy I suppose there is more room there just for her to be there for comedic relief as well as perhaps more relationship advancement on a physical level where they do something.

I loved the contest that Urd, Peorth, and Skuld were in and how they all kept overdoing it and together extremely over did it. One thing I noticed, it amazes me how many machines Skuld has. All of them are really fairly specific on what they do and she seems to have one for every possible outcome. Now, I’m not going to get into the whole where she keeps them and how she just pulls them out because she is a goddess, but still she must have thousands of odds and ends machines. The whole everyone falling passionately in love with Keiichi was also hilarious. Although, at first I suspected it to be Keiichi that falls in love which I think is what Peorth was going for. Then of course at the end, Peorth trying to seduce a statue was a good point as well.
