More information on the Virus Cores and their purpose in opening the path to the Key of the Twilight.

Summary:

We start off with Haseo, Tabby, and Sakisaka being teleported to the waterfall place. After the glowing symbol in the one are they were apparently teleported here where there is another symbol. The three of them, still in search of Virus Cores head to the Church, Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground (although they still haven’t called it that yet). Inside they are looking around and all of a sudden they hear Tabby scream and she has disappeared. They look for her but eventually Sakisaka disappears in the same manner. Ender comes in and sees Haseo there and asks where the other two are that she saw go in with him. She threatens him but gets called away so she leaves.

We see Gord PK’ing some players asking for information on who has the Virus Core. He leaves after getting nothing out of them and talks with Phyllo. He gets some information that it is a certain player in a PKer guild so he seeks her out to get the Virus Core. Meanwhile Haseo heads back to the home and tells Shino what happened and that she heard from Sakisaka. He came back and she sent him on something to do. Not too long after tabby returns and tells Haseo what happened. She said when she was investigating a wall of the church she was student taken to a strange place like a void with a bunch of lines running all over the place. She couldn’t go anywhere so she forced a relocation and came back to the home. Shino tells her that she thinks it’s dangerous for them to head out in groups as Haseo told her that when they disappeared Ender showed up like she had been following them.

Gord is talking to the player from the PKer guild who is acting really arrogant and tough. She has two guild members with her and taunts Gord saying she won’t give it up. They attack him but he easily dodges and when corned he charges the player and knocks her to the ground. After killing the other two members and holding her up at blade point again she throws him the Virus Core she stumbled upon and attacks him but he easily kills her and takes the Virus Core. Meanwhile Haseo and Shino are looking for Virus Cores or just investigating the Lost Grounds when Haseo notices something in one of the Lost Grounds. There are five pillars with each five different colored glowing spots on them. Shino said the virus cores all are different colors so Haseo asks what if the Virus cores correspond with the pillars. He pulls out his and the pillar he is standing next to of the same color grows a brighter color. Shino sees this and is shocked, saying they have to tell Ovan right away. Haseo asks her what she is to Ovan. She says just someone he knows in RL and head off to tell him.

Shino is talking to Ovan and tells him about this, she mentions how she worries about him and how if they find the Key of the Twilight he may disappear for a while and Shino seems a bit concerned saying that’s not like him. Meanwhile we see Haseo heading back from the lost grounds being followed by Ender. He comes across a scar symbol thing on a wall and when he approaches it, it glows and teleports him to a strange void much to Enders demise as she can’t follow him. In this void Haseo sees a Virus Core floating around and after floating around navigating past invisible walls he manages to reach it. He returns to the normal area and quickly runs to the Guild Home. Gord who sees him running says it’s about time Ovan started moving huh? In the guild home Ovan is there saying the path to the Key of the Twilight is open, now is the time to move and reach for it.

Impressions:

Well from what I can gather there is only five virus cores. I could be wrong It was a bit confusing, there are six Lost Grounds but there were only five towers in that one lost ground so perhaps a Virus Core in every Lost Ground except for the one with the towers. Shino has one Virus Core, Haseo has two, Gord has one and Tawaraya has one. It seems a bit weird however that Tawaraya doesn’t want his and is basically trying to find a way to give it to someone or the Twilight Brigade in particular without just outright giving it to someone because it didn’t work too well when he tried it with Sakisaka.

Gord is again playing a big part, now that he has a Virus Core I think we continue to see some involvement from him as he seems obsessed with defeating Ovan to show that he is better then him, although I have a guess that Ovan is going to kick his ass if Gord is ever to try something, some of the fight scenes with Gord however were still pretty cool. He seems to be kind of the Sora of this anime. I mean, he is a PKer; he tries to get involved in things. Gord is becoming one of my favorite characters because of how he acted in the fight against the player who had the virus core. How when she threw it to him and tried to surprise attack he just stepped to the side and without really moving much slashed her and killed her in one hit, then just held out his hand and caught the Virus Core, he is defiantly one of the cooler characters in this episode and series, although it fits since he is like Sora kind of and Sora was my favorite character in Sign.

It was interesting how we actually got the feeling of Ovan making his move. We finally saw him say that now is the time and that the path to the Key of the Twilight is open. This means we could likely see soon something happen that makes a big impact or revelation as to what the Key of the Twilight is. I still seem to remember Aura being the Key of the Twilight so maybe in this she is and it has something to do with why her statue is gone and Shino saying something about maybe she was tired of this world or something along the lines of that.
