We get a bit more comedy in this episode with a trip to the beach as well as a conversation of various things between Tomari and Yasuna

Summary:

We start off with Yasuna calling everyone, including Tomari and inviting them to a trip to the beach, being summer and all. They head to the beach, Ayuki, Tomari, Yasuna, and Hazumu all having a nice fun talk while Asuta kind of sits alone remembering this won’t be a trip to the beach with the guys, kind of having forgotten his best friend was turned into a girl by an alien, now I’m not saying I’ve been in that situation before but I don’t think I would forget something like that.

They get to the beach, Asuta remaining a bit uncomfortable about his attraction to Hazumu who used to be a guy. Shortly after arriving Jan Puu and Sora arrive, Jan Puu being able to be seen by everyone. Everyone has a fun time doing various activities for a while. Asuta is sitting watching everyone and is approached by Hazumu. Asuta says he is fine sitting by himself, embarrassed and uncomfortable next to Hazumu. He rushes off to buy drinks for everyone and when he returns some guys are harassing Hazumu and he saves her by calling her his girlfriend and they leave.

After the fun at the beach everyone is at a beach house thing and they are preparing to cook lunch. As everyone prepares food Tomari and Yasuna leave to get something they need to get at the nearby store. Tomari and Yasuna get the stuff they need from the store and are talking on the way back. Tomari had previously asked why Yasuna invited everyone else and not just Hazumu and she explains how she knows little about her and wants to get to know more about her and her friends. Meanwhile Asuta is still struggling with himself if it’s ok to have feelings for Hazumu, being best friends and previously her being a guy. Asuta takes Hazumu to a spot to ask her feelings and she basically just tells him they are best friends and Asuta becomes ok with that more or less.

Everyone heads back and eat the food prepared, even though it is way to hot for everyone. Yasuna thinks its fine and obviously has a high tolerance for hot food, but feels kind of down for ruining lunch for everyone. They head back on the train and Hazumu, sitting between Yasuna and Tomari falls asleep and falls onto Yasuna’s shoulder. As everyone except for Yasuna and Tomari are asleep Tomari addressing Yasuna and tells her that she too loves Hazumu and the episode comes to an end.

Impressions:

We got more comedy in this episode with the beach trip as things were a bit more light hearted with less drama. I was surprised when Tomari just came out and told Yasuna at the end of the episode that she loved Hazumu too. We didn’t really see Yasuna’s response to this. This could either be the start of a light hearted attempt by the both of them to win Hazumu over or what seems more probable actually it being light with some tension between the two of them with a slow progression to their character advancement.

We also saw Asuta a lot more in this episode, and although his predicament with finding Hazumu attractive now seemed mostly comedy focused kind of felt sorry for him or at least pitied him. Although it is fairly obvious nothing will come out from this as Hazumu even told Asuta that she and him will always be best friends and Asuta kind f accepted the fact that is probably all they will ever be it was a bit heart warming that they stay friends, if just friends.

Sora was a bit interesting in this episode and I noticed that he serves, and will in the future, a more important role then comedic relief. Although he served as a huge source of the comedy in this episode throughout this episode and others he has always been there making observations. I think that in the future during a time of drama we will see him give a more serious role in giving some speech to Hazumu about all the things he has observed about the relationships concerning Tomari, Yasuna and Hazumu.
