We get a bit more drama from what happened last episode and some hostility between Tomari and Yasuna over Hazumu, as well as some revelation into Yasuna’s condition.

Summary:
We start off with Sora talking to Hazumu, asking her what she is going to do now about love. Hazumu gets really embarrassed as says she doesn’t know. At school, the drawing trip is coming up and Hazumu and Yasuna are talking about it and Tomari who seemed a bit jealous when the two of them met up in front of the school confronts Hazumu and says for the sketching trip, the two of them should draw each other. Hazumu is a bit taken back as he was just talking with Yasuna about it but they have to go to class so they don’t discuss it further.
In class someone drops their notebook and when Yasuna picks it up to hand it to the guy who dropped it we see her vision again where all the guys are fuzzed out. She tries to return it but cant’ tell who is who. She eventually gets it and class ends. As this is happening we see Sora kind of smile and he says he knew it. Hazumu is asked to get someone from the art room and Sora goes with her as well. Hazumu gets the sketches from last year and Sora looks through and pulls out Yasuna’s to show Hazumu. All the men in the picture are just stick figure’s basically, showing their form but no details except for Hazumu who is only missing a face.
Sketching drip day and Yasuna and Tomari both as Hazumu to go draw with her. They both choose to draw her portrait and Hazumu doesn’t know what to do as both of them are kind of competing for her. Tomari says however to Yasuna in front of Hazumu about how much she hurt him and how it is wrong for the two of them to be friends because Yasuna will just do something like that again. Tomari is really angry and yelling at Yasuna but Hazumu yells to stop and the trip comes to an end.
At school Hazumu confronts Yasuna and says she wants to know about her, about how she saw her sketch. Yasuna tells Hazumu that since she was little she is unable to see men, what I will call from now on Yuri-vision. All she sees for men is an outline of them; all the details are fuzzed out. However one day she saw Hazumu on the roof and was able to see him, all the details except for a face. They became friends and such and she liked him but when he confessed she got scared that if they got close he would fuzz out too and she didn’t’ want that so she rejected him. She says that she has loved her since she saw him (yes, pronouns are correct I think, I don’t know they don’t teach you how to use pronouns concerning sex changes) Yasuna runs off crying because she knows how much she hurt Hazumu when she rejected him, only thinking of her feelings but she gets it together and goes back to her and kisses her. As they kiss, Tomari sees this and the episode ends.
Impressions:
We got some drama in this a bit with the competition between Yasuna and Hazumu, with only a bit of comedy thrown in there. They seem to, for now, swaying away from the comedy and focusing on the relationship and character build up and the conflicts between people. We will probably see even more as this goes on but I suspect a lax for a while where there will be more comedy again then a final drama build near the end.
It was interesting to learn about Yasuna in this episode and that all along she liked Hazumu and didn’t reject him the first time because she disliked him but only because she was afraid of not being able to see him if she got involved. She liked Hazumu and thought that if they got together then he may fade like all the other men so that’s why she rejected her and now wants to be with him because there is no risk of her disappearing.
I felt kind of sorry for Tomari though. She really liked Hazumu but can’t portray it at all and just feels that Yasuna shouldn’t even be allowed to be involved with Hazumu after how much she hurt him before. It was surprising when she stepped up and asked to draw with Hazumu on the drawing trip before Yasuna could, which shows initiative but she is still behind Yasuna as to winning Hazumu.
