Less exciting episode as the last but we get some insight to the history of the two brothers and Nao.

Summary:

We start off with Nao rushing to Shuuhei aid from the small injury he sustained during the fight last episode. Before they head off back to the control room they notice the body of one of the soldiers on their side of the blast door, the only body, is still warm. They decide that even if he is a terrorist they can’t leave a defenseless man to die so they take him to the medical room.

Back at the control room Kazuhiko is telling them how he managed to intercept a message from the terrorists to Earth. They said that they have hostages and they want the release of their commanders and for all ships to stay away from Aries. In the event their needs are not met they will bomb the earth with nuclear missiles. Shuuhei says they just need to do what they can so Ryouta and Sayoko go off alone to get food while Shuuhei looks for means to escape.

Shuuhei visits Nao in the medical room before heading off to talk to her. They go to a flashback of how Ryouta and Shuuhei met Nao. She was trying to take care of an injured bird basically and Ryouta and Shuuhei took her and the bird to their hangout and healed it and then they basically became friends. While talking, the body of the terrorist kind of melts into water. The water moves and almost attacks Nao. Shuuhei and Nao are really surprised and Shuuhei readies his gun not thinking it will do much but the water “thing” glows and disappears before it does anything. They decide not to tell anyone about it as it may instate panic.

When Shuuhei returns from not finding any other way of escape, he sees the mystery woman. She manages to tell him her name finally, Yuu. Yuu and Shuuhei return to the control room where Kazuhiko says he received a message that says, “This is a civilian. We are in need of rescue.” It is from the section of the station that was supposed to have had an air leak. Shuuhei takes a maintenance vehicle outside the station and into the section where the message was from. There turns out to be air there and when looking around he finds Aki and Morisato, the sub-commander mustache man. There never was an air leak, Aki just input that into the system to throw off the invaders and Shuuhei takes Aki and Morisato back to the control station. At the control station we find out that Aki is the younger sister of Kazuhiko. After some sibling arguing we see a shot of the terrorist preparing for another attack at the gang, this time with more people and better armed and the episode ends.

Impressions:

I was really surprised at the supernatural component of this episode. The terrorist turning into some water thing and then disappearing was quite a surprise as it seemed this series would focus more on just day to day occurrences at military training aboard the space station.

Again I really liked Aki and her comment when Shuuhei, Morisato and she were cramped in a one man maintenance ship. Shuuhei was pressed against her because it was so cramped and she said that he shouldn’t sexually harass her in a place like this but in a calm way and not like she was super offended by it so it made it more comedic.

I defiantly see something bigger being behind Yuu. I mean she has a gun, she didn’t evacuate on purpose, and she was in the control room alone when Aki came there back in episode two. She could be a spy for the terrorists or something along those lines, but if not she defiantly has something about her that isn’t quite common you could say.
