A much more… normal episode compared to the last two, with more clueless ness and misunderstandings amongst the students.

Summary:

We start off with the two students in charge of the play going through ideas that were submitted. They go though various scripts including ones that involve a Yaoi relationship of Harima and Hanai, one with a pervert dance teacher and two jealous students sabotaging the best student which is played by Mikoto, one with Harima yelling at Eri after she has become poor, and one written by one of the students organizing it where she is a magical school girl. Eventually they decide to ask Akira to do it.

Later while the whole class is working on making things for the play Tenma asks Eri to ask Harima what he likes in girls because Tenma still believes there is a thing between Yakumo and Harima. Eri is rather reluctant because she likes Harima but asks him the questions anyways. Harima, seeing that Tenma is eavesdropping thinks that it’s Tenma who wants to know because she likes him. He answers the questions to fit Tenma but they happen to all fit Eri as well and she gets really embarrassed and wonders if Harima likes her.

Next we have all the class visiting a bath house. There, not too much happens but some girls ask Eri if some of the rumors are true that she is going out with Harima. She gets really embarrassed and before she can answer she hears Harima yell at someone on the guy’s side and she interprets it as referring to her so she just says that she hates Harima.

Later back at the school because everyone is hungry the girls prepare rice balls for everyone. All the rice balls look different and Tenma tells everyone that each one was made by a different girl and they have to figure out by whom. Of course Harima tries to find the one that Tenma made and when he thinks he found it he tastes it and it’s awful. He tries to take the horrible taste out of his mouth by trying one more and it’s even worse then the first one he tried, much much worse. Harima says at least Tenma’s isn’t the worst, thinking the one he first had was Tenma’s but later he finds out that the one that was much much worse was hers, and the first one he had was Eri’s and the episode comes to an end.

Impressions:

A much more traditional episode. We saw a growing hesitance from Eri in that she likes Harima even though Harima as well as Tenma and Mikoto are completely oblivious. The only person who seems to be intelligent in the whole school is Akira. There was also a slight hint at the end of something maybe between Mikoto and Hanai but I don’t’ see that going anywhere as Hanai and his obsession with Yakumo seems to be going strong.

There were multiple times that I laughed throughout this episode. Many of the ideas for the plays made me laugh, especially the Harima x Hanai one. It was also hilarious when Harima was describing the girl he liked, trying to answer so it fit Tenma but it ended up fitting Eri who was standing right there asking him the questions.

I can just tell that there will be something about the manga award thing. Last season Harima submitted his manga that he worked on throughout many episodes but he got ran over and had Eri’s butler deliver it for him. When the employee of the manga contest asked his name he said he was the butler so it could be that that’s the name that is submitted and Harima wins but the manga is under a different name.
