We get the whole episode one big survival game shootout, very interesting and funny at times.

Summary:

We start out with the class not being able to decide what to do for the cultural festival, a play or coffee shop. The class is basically divided in half and with Harima and Hanai out of commission still from their shocks of Hanai thinking there is something between Harima and Yakumo and Harima being depressed that Tenma thinks likewise. Akira knows exactly how to manipulate them and gets them both interested in the opposite ideas so eventually it is decided that they will decide what to do by whoever wins a survival game.

The class goes to the school at night and with guns they fight for the other team’s flag. Notable members of each team are Harima and Eri on one team, and Hanai and Mikoto on another. Then throughout the whole battle it is just a shootout between the two teams, with scene of people suddenly appearing from behind them to scenes between two friends on different teams, very Battle Royale like.

We get near the end the band group from the class who finds out they can’t play on stage at the festival so they decide to participate in the game. At the end we get two people chasing after who they perceive to be Eri. They chase her into a room and then when they can’t find her suddenly a man Eri appears in the window. The man is obviously Eri’s butler but that doesn’t’ get said and the episode comes to and end.

Impressions:

Interesting….odd episode. The episode was very very Battle Royale like even though it was set up with two teams, especially that scene between the boy and the girl who were going out, and one of them not shooting the other but then she shoots him, but is killed and lies on top of him. Obviously I don’t think anyone is really dead, but very funny the way it played out. I think we may see more episodes like this with a whole parody of various things and a bit different from everyday school life. We will probably see that stuff as well like was most prominent in the first season but this season may have a bit more odd things thrown in there.

I thought it was hilarious how manipulative Akira was. She obviously knows Hanai likes Yakumo but everyone knows that, she also however knows that Harima likes Tenma and it was hilarious how she manipulated the both of them with that into getting them to argue over which thing the class will do for the cultural festival.
