More mecha fighting and the beginning of some mystery behind the world in general.

Summary:

We start off with Kyo hanging out with his friends outside a shop. He is talking and mentions the weird stuff happening like that green light that his friend saw. She says she doesn’t know what he is talking about even though she clearly had scene it when it happened. He talks about how he wants to find Shizuno for PR video of his club. His friends say how all that stuff with the robots is impossible and no such transfer student named Shizuno exists. As he is talking his friends just kind of disappear out of no where.

Later as he is swimming he is remembering Shizuno and what he did in Zegapain. He calls out Shizuno’s name and it goes to a shot of her in the weird technologically advanced world and she says something about how the door has opened now. Some other mecha pilots are piloting a mecha and apparently they need assistance….again. Shizuno is talking to some higher ups, one of which is the Student President of the school Kyo goes to. Eventually she leaves and teleports Kyo to the world to help the other mecha pilots.

Kyo and Shizuno are in the hanger and they say some stuff to the Student President who says to Kyo that he isn’t the Student President here; he is some rank of some organization. Shizuno and Kyo go off and fight some evil mecha’s and save the other mecha team who seems to have done just nothing.

Later back at school Kyo is having Shizuno do the PR video for the swim club. All the students watching are amazed at how good she is and say she is so cool, acting like they know her. Kyo kind of goes, wait a minute, and is confused as to why people know her. They all say that Shizuno became popular ever since she transferred a week ago but Kyo had looked up in the school records just the other day and saw no mention of her and the episode more or less ends.

Impressions:

Some very interesting things going in this episode. I kind of get the feel there is this whole Matrix thing going on with there being two words and how the one with the school kept changing. It is as if history was altered and Kyo was the only one who noticed, with Shizuno not being a transfer student then being one and how his friends at one time just disappeared. Seem to get more of a relationship advance between Shizuno and Kyo but not much. There is the possibility of that advancing still though.

One thing I really noticed that kind of bugs me about the mecha; Zegapain Altair itself is that it isn’t exactly practical to have a large part of the mecha protruding out of its chest, its kind of susceptible to damage and attacks, much more efficient to have the mecha be more sleek but, eh. Other then that the mecha and some of the scenery of the technology advanced world looks fairly cool, a bit used before but it works well.
